Ruben walked past Calum's arms and down the stairs into the basement, where there was one light focused on me.

"Mum?" He whispered, meeting my eyes.

"Mum? You haven't got one." I laughed. His face broken slightly but he shook his head.

"No, you will listen to me." He snarled. "You, are my mother. You're the one that gave birth to me." He stepped into the demon trap and met my eyes. He sat on the stool on the edge and didn't remove his eyes from mine, next minute our bodies went limp.

Ruben stood in front of me, his eyes wondering off to Calum on one knee in front of me. Evan holding a camera and recording, Michael and Jayden in happy tears.

"This is dad, Calum, proposing to you," He paused. "He had only just found out you were pregnant with me."

"How do I know you're not making this up?" I snarled, pulling on the restraints. He undone the ones around my wrists and ankles. I dove towards him.

"You can't hurt me when we're here, we're inside your memories." He whispered. I froze and sighed. I couldn't hurt this kid even if I wanted to and I don't know why.

"So this ring," I pointed to the ring on my ring finger. "Is off Calum?"

Ruben nodded.

"You never actually made plans to get married, he proposed but it was never a topic you guys discussed."

The image in front of us changed to where I was on Jayden's shoulders in a pool.

"This is where you and Calum first met," Ruben smiled. "You started changing because you were around so many vampires, the boys ignored their instinct to kill you and instead took care of you."

We went through other memories, and I felt tears run down my face as we reached the last one I had of us two together that meant a lot.

The sunset.

"Someone used something to change these memories and make you loose them." Ruben whispered looking tired.

"Come with me?" I whispered towards the male. His eyes widened.

"What?"

"Come with me. I've got to leave for a while after finishing my job here, and I can't stay because everyone will be in danger," I whispered. "I'll teach you how to use your powers, I can protect you."

"How long for?" He whispered.

"I'd say three months tops." I whispered. "The person who controls me is very powerful, I can't take him alone, but the two of us together? We're the rare hybrids. We have powers he doesn't know of. You can revive yourself if you wished and tried hard enough."

"Three months is all you have, I'll rub the trap as soon as we wake up."

"Make sure some part of you is touching me, I can't teleport you otherwise."

He nodded, just as I took a deep breath of air and I was back in the basement.

Ruben woke up a second or two after me, and he shrugged Calum off his shoulders. He pushed the stool backwards which broke the ring, and Ruben launched towards me and as soon as his fingertips brushed against me I teleported to a safe house I had been given.

--

Ruben held my wrists and healed them as they were all burnt off the wolfsbane and holy water. His phone went off.

"Can I?" He asked and I nodded. He picked up the phone and put it on speaker.

"Ruben, where are you? Are you okay? Has she harmed you?" Calum asked panicked. Ruben let out a laugh.

"Dad calm down, we're both fine," He paused. "I helped her remember what happened, so in return we're helping each other out, I'll be back in three months."

"Three months?" Calum yelled.

"Don't worry Cal, I'll take good care of him." I smiled, and there was a sigh.

"I'm getting Michael to track you two down." He growled.

"Have fun, this house is protected."
