Alyx

Was I dead? Did I kill Don? I miss Calum, and Ruben. I miss my best friend Jayden, and I want to see Mercy and Evan again. I want to be able to have a laugh with the boys.

"Alyx, will you listen to me?" Mercy laughed from behind me in the white room. I turned and saw her, and I felt happy. I wasn't alone.

"Sorry." I giggled sheepishly looking down at the floor.

"You're such a fighter you know, Eric spoke to one of the doctors from hell." She giggled and sat down. "You should of been dead a month ago."

"How long have I been gone for?" I whispered.

"Well you fell into this state three months ago, it's December twenty-fifth, an hour before everyone's getting up." She giggled weakly. "We all miss you."

"I miss you guys too, and trust me, I've been trying so hard to come back, but I can't. Every time I try I get flooded with memories."

"You should be able to decide soon enough." She smiled then touched the Bluetooth in her ear. "Make that now actually. Alyx do you want to continue living with whatever injuries you may have gotten from your act, or do you want a painless death?"

"Is that really a question? I want to live, I want to see my family again, I want to see you guys again." She gave a slight nod.

"A perfect gift for everyone." She smiled.

I shot upwards, a small plastic Christmas tree in the corner with fairy lights on. I smiled, my arm was bandaged up and my bones were aching. I stood up slowly and walked out my room and made my way downstairs. Mercy stood there with a big box.

"This is for you to get into surprise everyone." She smiled, I nodded and climbed into it slowly, she closed the lid and let out a giggle, she wrote on the side of the box just as everyone ran downstairs.

"Aunty Mercy got us a big present!" Ruben yelled. Calum mumbled something, not sounding happy at all, and the rest cheered half heartedly.

"Open it then, I choose Ruben, Calum and Jayden to open it." Mercy smirked, and I played with the ring on my finger, the vampire hunger running through my veins, I closed my eyes trying to forget it, until I felt hands on the lid of the box.

Three... Two... One. I thought to myself and jumped up making everyone scream. I laughed weakly, my voice box sore.

"Mum?" Ruben whispered tearing up, I hugged him tightly. Jayden joining in.

"Stop scaring us!" She cried softly. I hugged her back. The boys all grinned and walked over hugging, Calum stood to the side tears falling down his face, so when everyone pulled away from the hug I tried getting out the box, but ended up falling. I heard a laugh from behind me and I flipped them off before standing up and walking to Calum. He stood there frozen sobbing.

"You..." He whimpered. I hugged him tightly and let a few tears fall. He clung to me. "You're never leaving my sight again."

"I'm here Calum, it's okay. I'm not leaving you again." I whispered and he kissed me softly. I blushed and kissed back. Ruben yelled.

"Gross!"

I laughed into the kiss softly. He chuckled and pulled away wiping my tears.

"The next time I want to see you cry is happy tears at our wedding." He smiled and played with the engagement ring on my ring finger.
