Alyx

It had been a week since Eric and I had found out my fate. A month and a half since I woke up.

As the boys were busy training in the back garden, in the nice warm sun, I sat in the shade of a tree, sunglasses on and my nose buried in a book occasionally looking up to see one of them with the other on the floor.

I didn't even have time to have mine and Calum's wedding or honey moon.

I then realised something needed to be done. According to everyone else, Calum's mood had drastically improved since I came back.

I wasn't putting him, Ruben or anyone else through the pain of not having me here again. I just couldn't. I pulled my phone out of my pocket and checked the date. It had been five weeks since my last time of the month. Had we done "it" since then, and it had been when I was most fertile.

We had.

"I'm going shopping boys, I'll be back in an hour or two." I smiled weakly and stood up my legs shaking. Calum ran over and supported me.

"Should we come with? You can barely walk." He whispered. I shook my head and walked a few steps away from him. My joints aching as if I was transitioning again from human to werewolf. Six months of constantly changing despite the conditions. He nodded.

"Just call if you need one of us there," Ruben smiled and I nodded.

--

I made my way to the bathroom when I got home, my hands shaking slightly the three pregnancy tests in the bag I was carrying, rattling. I don't know if it was from fear, my condition, or excitement.

I'd love to have another child with Calum of course. But it was whether I could last that long.

I locked the door, claiming I was going for a shower. I ran the shower as I used the pregnancy tests. I placed them on tissue on the side where there was a bottle of blood substitute in the water from Ruben again this morning when he caught me throwing up.

I drank from it. It really wasn't the nicest tasting liquid, but I wasn't going to complain.

I then jumped into the shower once I was all stripped down.

--

I wrapped a warm fluffy towel around me and walked over to the side, I unwrapped the three tissue covered tests and closed my eyes.

I opened my eyes to see all three positive.

A warmness erupted inside of me and I smiled to myself.

"Calum?" I called, not knowing where about he was in the house, so it could be a while till he got here, that's if he heard me of course.

Two seconds later and the door opened slowly. Calum looked towards me concern on his face.

"What's wrong?" He asked and I shook my head.

"Nothing," Lies, I was dying. "Come here, and close your eyes."

He walked over slowly and I angled his head to where the pregnancy tests were located.

"Don't scare me okay?" He laughed a little and I nodded.

"Open your eyes," I whispered smiling slightly to myself. It took a minute before he turned to face me. His face brightened up.

--

I wrapped the blankets around Calum and I. Mary had said to continue drinking that water Ruben had been giving me, and drink a lot of blood.

Mary was the woman I had decided to go to. She said there is one way to make sure the pregnancy speeds up, over feed so the baby develops quicker. She said if I drink over two litres of blood a day for a month that will be the equivalent of six months gone, which gave me another month before I was meant to die.

"What are you thinking about?" He asked, and I shook my head closing my eyes.

"Nothing, don't worry Calum,"
