Chapter Five

Alyx

I stood on top of the diving board, everyone on the lounge chairs watching. Nick had pointed out how great Ruben was at diving, so, of course, my Alpha instincts kicked in and he had to be challenged and this amused the pack and Calum.

I balanced on the diving board as Ruben swam to the side. I grinned and bounced a few times before doing a few spins and flips and landing in the water with no splash. I swam under the water, enjoying the feel of the water surrounding my body. I resurfaced and flipped the hair out my face. Calum wolf whistled which made the heat rush to my cheeks. I hoisted myself out the pool.

"You have skill mum, but to save this going on for the whole day lets call it a tie," Ruben smiled offering his hand. I shook it and he chuckled and jumped into the pool. I felt two arms wrap around my middle and someone place a soft kiss to the crook of my neck. 

"You did great babe," Calum whispered pulling me close. I grinned to myself and Nick gave me a thumbs up and I flipped him over my shoulder and into the water. 

"Don't go near Alyx unless you want to be ninja thrown into the pool!" Michael called out laughing. I laughed and looked at Calum's face as he resurfaced. 

"That was just mean," He pouted. I grinned and I felt someone rugby tackle me into the pool. Jayden. She then hoisted me up onto her shoulders.

"Shoulder wars anyone? Back to the good old days?" She asked and I cracked my knuckles in response. Calum climbed ontop of Luke's shoulders, Ashton held Mikey up and Nick held Ruben on his shoulders.

"You're all going down," Jayden smack talked. I laughed as Ashton charged at us and I teleported us to the other side of the pool by accident. 

No one was meant to find out.

"Sorry, it's natural for me to move her away from anything that could harm her. I won't do it again." Eric called from the lounge chair. In the minute that had passed since we started, Ashton and Mikey had been taken down. Now it was Ruben and Nick, Calum and Luke, and Jayden and myself against each other.  

Jayden kept us away from the boys as they wrestled it out, and Luke kicked Nick's feet from underneath him which sent the boys tumbling down. Now it was back to when we first played this game where it was me and Jayden against Calum and his chosen ally.

I hit the water backwards with a splash as did Calum. I swam under the water for a while as everyone else jumped in. My hand had healed overnight, only the smallest scar remained but I think Luke had his suspicions on what had happened, or at least something had happened.

I resurfaced behind Calum and I wrapped my arms around his middle. He chuckled and turned to face me. He pressed his lips to mine, which caused Ruben to shout across the pool.

"Gross!" He chuckled and turned to face the other way.

It had reached eight pm.

"I'll meet you all back at home okay?" I smiled and they nodded, pulling on their over clothes before speed running home. I grabbed Calum's hand before he had a chance to change.

"What's wrong?" He frowned, I shook my head and pulled him close. "Alyx?"

"Just shut up a second and close your eyes," I whispered and he nodded wrapping his arms around me. I giggled and closed my eyes imagining the coast and suddenly the cold tiles of the pool were replaced by the warm sand. "I wanted to show you what I've spent the past few months of my life seeing, knowing that you saw the same thing as me."

Calum looked up and around and saw the sunset. His hand slipped into mine and he gave a slight squeeze.
