Out of suffering have emerged the strongest souls. The most massive characters are seared with scars.

"Higher daddy!" His voice rang through the chaotic noises the park was filled with. It sang with joy so pure it made my stomach curl into itself and sigh peacefully. A large smile moulded my mouth, pinching at my cheeks painfully. My jaw ached from the happiness I couldn't contain. I held my hands out in front of me and pushed the front of the cradling swing that ensured Seth's upmost safety. Seth turned his face to the sky and smiled a toothy grin. He clung onto the metal chains and let the wind rush through his tight blond curls. My heart hummed in my chest as small beads of sweat dampened my armpits and my back.
"Higher daddy! Higher!" He squealed happily. I laughed at his request and continued to push him on the swing in the cool afternoon sun.
"Are you trying to fly away?" I asked him, laughing still. Seth opened his brilliant blue eyes and beamed at me with a smile that could brighten even the darkest of days.
"Seth flies to daddy's house!" He hollered and kicked his legs straight out and turned his face back to the sky with closed eyes. He let go of the chains and held his arms out like he was flying. My heart dropped but at the same time it swelled. My smile of joy became a half smirk of admiration. I laughed cheerfully and continued to push him on the swing. I've been here for less than twelve hours but it feels as though I've been a part of his life for a hundred years. It feels like I haven't missed a moment of his life, when in reality, I have only a few cherished memories with him. I wanted to share the joy I feel with the world, I don't know why. I know Bow won't be happy about that then again, she's not happy that I'm a part of Seth's life in general. I guess it's a good thing that she doesn't have Snapchat, I couldn't help myself. I feel like a millionaire showing off a new sports car. I feel like a new dad, showing off my creation. I created him. He is here because of me. The miracle of life is a difficult thing to wrap your head around. It's even more mind blowing when you've created this tiny human being who will one day be a grown up like you.
I had to thank Bow for carrying him and raising him by herself. Yes, she could've gotten me to be more a part of Seth's life but who knows where we'd be if that happened. I like where we are now. Bow has done a wonderful job of looking after him for nearly four years. I don't think I can thank her enough for the best thing I've ever been given. I've always wanted to be a dad, I almost had that, twice. But now I do have that. I have that for the rest of my natural life and I could not possibly be happier.
"Seth!" Seth's name was childishly called from somewhere behind me. Seth snapped out of his state of flying and looked around until his eyes landed on the person whom called his name. I grabbed the swing and pulled it to a slow and steady stop. He held his arms above his head and I hoisted him out of the swing. Seth dizzily ran over to a little girl standing at the play structure waiting for him. The little girl was had long chestnut brown hair and oval green eyes. She looked a little bit older than Seth, maybe a year or two older. Seth seemed to take to this older girl like a fish to water.
I watched as a woman approached the brunette girl and undid the scarf that hung around the smaller's neck. I felt awkward but I figured I should go over there and talk to her, I'm a parent, she's a parent; she probably knows Bow. I could see her talking between the two small kids; Seth craned around and pointed at me with a serious expression. She asked him who he was here with. He's here with me.
I walked up to the small group with a smile. Seth's bag bounced off my hip with each right step. The woman stood up from her crouched down position. She was about the same height as me, but she was wearing a pair of high heels so she's actually shorter than me. She had a narrow face and long wavy brown hair with matching dark eyes. She looked me up and down then smiled.
