Chapter 9
When Fred, George, and Harry returned to the common room that night the three were exhausted. Fred and George were surely going to keep asking Harry to use the invisibility cloak but Harry wanted Hogwarts to be standing by the end of the year, so he'll have to say no to them and maybe let them use it every once in awhile. Harry crawled into his bed and fell asleep as soon as his head hit the pillow. He did not however expect to have nightmares about his uncle and he certainly did not expect to be woken up by George. "Harry, are you okay?" George asked worriedly. Harry sat up, trying to catch his breath.
"Y-yeah, I just had a nightmare. I'll be fine." George pulled Harry into his chest and hugged him and Harry just let him because he really needed a hug right now. He could still hear his uncle yelling at him and calling him a freak while he punched and kicked Harry. Harry shuddered.
"Harry, is there something you haven't told us?" George asked tightening his hold on him. Harry frowned.
"Yes," He said closing his eyes. "But I can't talk about it right now."
"You do want to talk about it? Just not now?" George asked surprised. Harry could understand why. It was usually like pulling teeth for Harry to tell anyone his problems. Harry smiled.
"Yes,"
"Alright and right now, it can be between the two of us." Harry really appreciated that.
"Thanks, George."
"No problem, little brother." George said grinning and ruffling Harry's already messy hair. "See you in the morning."
"Yeah." Harry said as he watched George get back into his own bed. Harry didn't expect to fall asleep any time soon but was proven wrong as he found himself fighting sleep not even ten minutes after his conversation with George. He woke to Fred and George jumping on his bed. Harry groaned. "I'm up, I'm up." The two grinned.
"Good, we didn't want you to miss breakfast!" Harry rolled his eyes and then reached for his glasses and put them on. By the time he had actually gotten out of bed, Fred, George, and Lee were out the door already. Harry shook his head and got dressed. Harry found he couldn't avoid Ron forever as Harry walked into the common room. Harry cursed his luck as the common room was empty besides him and Ron.
"What's up with you and Malfoy, huh!?" Ron immediately pounced and pushed Harry back against the wall, painfully.
"I asked him to start over, so we're friends now and that doesn't make me any different than I was before!" Harry said pushing Ron back. Harry was having a hard time trying to breathe with all the pressure that Ron had put on his chest.
"Why!? Because you're scared!?" Harry glared at him.
"No, because I feel things would go differently, but I can see that you won't listen no matter what and that I'm just wasting time trying to explain. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going down to eat breakfast." Just as Harry made it to the portrait hole, he was yanked back by his wrist and the momentum knocked him to the floor. "What is your problem, Ron!?" Harry was seriously getting mad now.
"You know what? You're my problem Potter!" Harry never felt so hurt in his life but he put that aside for now.
"Oh yeah and why's that!?" Harry couldn't understand where all this was coming from.
"Everyone always looks at you and praises you but if it was me, they wouldn't even bat an eyelash! 'Oh Potter is so amazing! He's the best seeker of the century!' It's bloody annoying when the people I talk to ignore me because they only talked to me in first place was because of you!" Harry couldn't believe what he was hearing.
