Chapter 14

Harry was so nervous about meeting Remus and Snape after dinner. He told Fred and George that Remus was helping him with an assignment and then rushed off to his office. "Ah, Harry, I'm glad you made it." Remus said pleasantly. "Severus will be here momentarily."

"So him leaving the Great Hall was all just an act to get Dumbledore off your backs?" Remus chuckled.

"Yes. I see you have your mother's observation skills."

"Apparently I'm too observant for my own good." Harry said shrugging. Remus smiled.

"Yes, your mother was told that way too many times to count." Remus suddenly looked concerned. "Harry, why didn't you tell anyone about your uncle?"

"Because if I told anyone, a student or a teacher, it would all go to Dumbledore and since I'm the "Boy-Who-Lived" I don't think Dumbledore will let me just go stay with someone else with the protection from my mother around the house."

"Yes, I see your point." Remus said frowning.

"He'll say it's for the greater good and do nothing more." Snape said walking into the room. "I agree, Potter, but you still should've let someone know."

"Who? McGonagall doesn't seem to care, you hated me from the first day I walked into your classroom, Quirrell tried to kill me, the other professors would've gone to McGonagall, but she would just tell Dumbledore and in the end, there wouldn't be anything done about it." Harry said sighing. He really didn't want to talk about this.

"What about Lockhart, I know he's fool, but surely," Remus started but was interrupted by Harry snorting.

"What? You mean the guy who tried to get in my pants during "detention" last year and ended up runing at the sight of danger? Yeah right." Harry grimaced as Snape and Remus narrowed their eyes. He had not meant to say that out loud.

"Harry,"

"Don't ask why I didn't say anything about it, please. I don't want to talk about it anymore." Harry buried his face in his hands. This was not how he expected this to go. He felt so ashamed that they knew about what Lockhart did. Now, not only did they know what his uncle did to him, they now know what Lockhart did. Harry had nightmares about it for weeks during the school year, but that all ended after what Ron did. Harry had nightmares about that for a whole two nights before he was having nightmares about his uncle again. Harry had almost forgotten about what Lockhart did, almost! Harry guessed that subconsciously he'll never forget and he supposed talking about it would help forget it. But he had not planned on telling Remus and Snape especially about it so soon. Remus and Snape shared a look but didn't say anything.

"Alright, Harry, but we're going to discuss this." Harry nodded in understanding. "Now, Severus and I have discussed your idea,"

"And we've come across quite a few holes in your plan."

"I assumed you would." Harry said nodding.

"The most obvious being the location of where this will take place."

"I thought of two places. One the Room of Requirements and I threw that idea out because of security issues."

"Yes, someone could definitely get in there." Remus said nodding, while Snape narrowed his eyes at him. So the Marauders did know about it.

"My next place would be the Chamber of Secrets. Of course it'll need a lot of work to clear out all the skeletons and rock."

"And more. Potter you do realize that at this point, you are the only one who can get in there, right?" Snape asked frowning.
