9.15.2084 Saturday Early Morning
I was climbing back in my bedroom window as the light clicked on. By my light switch stood my mom(well, my adopted one), while Mone sat on my bed. “Sorry Kitty, I had to tell her that you stuck out to see Ming…” Mone sobbed, glancing up.
“It’s ok,” I replied, glad that she had kept my secret.
“No, it’s not, young lady. You asked to have Mone sleepover and now I find that you have stuck out to your boyfriend. That is totally unacceptable,” my mother snapped as she crossed her arms.
“I’m sorry Mom…” I cried as I looked her in the eye.
“Kitty, you’re grounded. You are not allowed to see Ming all weekend,” my mom told firmly.
“But Mom!” I yelled.
“No buts,” my mom shouted angrily as she stepped forward.
“You aren’t my real mom! You can’t control me!” I hissed as I stomped my foot.
“How did you find out?” my mom asked perplexed.
“I overheard you and Mrs. Wallace,” I told as I looked at my feet.
“I’m sorry that you found out, but I am your legal guardian and you are now confied to your room for the weekend…which means I need your cellphone and laptop,” my mom ordered as she held out her hands.
“Mom…” I cried, handing it over. I didn’t know what to say or what to call her now. All I had ever called her was mom and old habits die hard.
“Come Mone. I will take you home,” my mom told before she and Mone left me in my misery.
