9.19.2084 Tuesday Noon
“Mone! Mone! Please come down! I miss you!” I cried beneath Monique’s favorite hiding spot. “Please!” I fell to my knees. I had been yelling for the last forty-five minutes and only once had I thought that I saw her move, but with only fifteen minutes left for lunch break, all my hope had disappeared. “Please Mone!” I sobbed heartbroken.
“I’m not up there,” sniffed Mone as she tapped my shoulder.
“Mone!” I screamed as I threw my around her. “I’m so glad to see you. Why have you avoided me?”
She pushd me off her before wiping her nose. “Cause I’m sick! I just wanna sleep, but my mom is making me come to school!” she snapped before she coughed. “Look, I’m climbing up there to nap; so please stop yelling, Katherine.”
“Mone…I…I didn’t know…I’m sorry…” I muttered as she passed me.
“I know…I’m not mad at you…I just need to rest…” she told before she scurried up the branches.
