“Katherine! Wait up!” yelled Mingan as I hurried up the steps to the high-school. “I’m sorry about not contacting you when I got back.”
“Oh?” I stopped and we stood face to face with his lips almost touching mine. “I’m glad that your back,” I muttered as I stared into his gray eyes.
“I’m also sorry about last night…” he started, staring at the ground.
“I didn’t see you last night,” I replied confused before I sniffed the air. Dog, but even more…wolf. “You’re a wolf!” I whispered angrily before trying to run up the final steps, but he grabbed my arm. “Let me go! You…dog! I don’t know why I ever liked you!”
“I won’t till you promise to talk to me,” he growled as he fiercely stared into my blue eyes.
“When?” I hissed as I yanked my arm free, stepping away.
“After school. Meet me right here,” he ordered before stepping closer and pecking my cheek. “I still love you.” He rushed into the school, leaving me staring after him.
