9.12.2084 Tuesday Evening

Hours later I sat in Mone’s living room, enjoying both a delightful conversation and a delicious batch of sugar cookies. "So I heard Mingan was talking to you today," Mone commented as I stared at my hands, examining the already healed cuts.

"More like worrying about me," I sighed before biting into another cookie.

"Still! He is super cute! What if you two start dating! Or even better! You two marry!" Mone exclaimed as she bounced on the couch.

"Monique Wallace! You better stop that this instant before you hurt yourself or freak out the neighborhood!" Mone’s mom yelled as she glanced in the room.

Mone stopped with a pouty face before snatching another cookie from the table. "It must be nice that your mom and sister knows," I commented, watching her closely.

"Yea, it is. Especially with me being a fruit and veggie-lover, which means I eat all the bananas," Mone laughed as she laid back, closing her eyes. "Your dad knew, right?"

"I guess. He never talked about it and my mom is defiantly not like me," I answered slowly as I stared at my hands. "He must have been like me…"

"Must have. My dad was normal; so I got everything from my mom," Mone commented as she scratched her head. "So are you going out tonight?"

"Yea, I do every night," I replied quickly.

"Maybe I’ll join you," she said as she glanced at me and my shocked expression. "Oh Kitty, don’t worry. You won’t hurt me."

"Just be careful, k?" I asked and she nodded.
