“I can’t believe they actually want me to speak on Ollie’s behalf!” I complained as Amy and I were on our way to pick up Skyler the next day for school. “What kind of drugs is that attorney on?”

“The kind that could make you think that Ollie could be innocent,” Amy replied with a small giggle. “So the kind that Stella is on.”

“You got that right,” I giggled. “Oh, and speaking of Stella, could you believe what she did?”

“Honestly… yes,” Amy answered.

“Oh yeah, you hate her,” I remembered. She pulled the car to the curb right in front of Skyler’s house. Well, Skyler’s Aunt’s house. Skyler was standing there waiting for us. I scooted closer to Amy so that Skyler could get in.

“I don’t hate her,” Amy corrected as Skyler hopped into the passenger seat.

“Then what?” I asked with an intense stare pointed at her.

“Hate is a strong word. I dislike her immensely. Better?”

“Who do we dislike immensely?” Skyler asked finally butting into the conversation.

“Stella,” Amy answered moving the car once again. I didn’t say anything. Stella was still a good friend of mine. It was just the choices that she made that questioned why I was friends with her. I still cared a lot about her and I believed that she cared about me as well.

“I love Stella,” Skyler cheered. “What could she have done to make you dislike her? I mean, I get that she was in juvie, did drugs and toilet papered someone’s house… but still! She’s fun.”

“Is that all you can say about her? That she’s fun?” Amy tested. Skyler was silent. She looked as if she was trying to think of something else nice to say about Stella. I don’t think she thought of anything. Amy parked the car soon after and Skyler still had that ‘thinking’ face on. It looked kind of painful.

“Anyways, in other news. Good news, to be exact. I haven’t had that dream anymore,” I praised.

“That’s awesome!” Amy cheered.

“Dream?” Skyler asked. “What dream?”

“Oh, right. I hadn't told you. Well, ever since Alec was reported dead, I have been having this strange dream about him,” I explained. “I’ve been trying my best to decipher it but I can’t think of anything.”

“Well, maybe I can help. What do you remember from the dream?”

“That’s just it. I don’t remember anything. I’ve had that dream every night and I still don’t remember what happens. All I can remember is that Alec was in it.”

“Why don’t you try harder to remember?”

“He already has,” Amy cut in. ”I told him the same thing when he said he had a nightmare. He couldn’t remember anything except for Alec. My question is why have you stopped having it?”

“We don’t know that it has stopped for good. Maybe it just wanted to take a break. Even nightmares get tired sometimes. I’ll check back with you tomorrow,” I said getting my stuff from her trunk. Everyone else did the same. We started over to our first class.

“So, I forgot to ask. How was court?” Skyler asked with a smile. Amy laughed.

“It was interesting,” I answered.

“Interesting? Just interesting? That’s all you can say?” Skyler interrogated.

“That pretty much explains it all,” Amy responded.
