Stan's POV
"The following students are excused to practice on their own." Mr.Larson told the class.
"Annie Knitts, Stanley Marsh, Davin Miller, and Milan Teal. You four have been selected for the first spot of the talent show participation. You will be playing as a percussion quartet, and will play any selected music you chose to on Friday. The next group who will be excused for practice, are Tommy Edwards, Pete Melman, and Simon Van Gelder. You will be playing as the brass trio. You will also be allowed to chose any piece you please. For our last spot, everything goes the same for you, Kenneth McCormick. You will be playing as the soloist. These students may be excused to go to the practice rooms."
Everybody who was called got up and went to the practice rooms. As I was going down the hallway, I see Kenny slouching down in the hallway. "Hey, Kenny!" I say, catching up to him. I look over to him, and his eyes were watering and his face was red.
"Are you okay, dude?" I ask. He sniffled and turned to face me.
"I got our group disqualified." He mumbled.
"What are you talking about...?" I say, giving him a brow.
"It's because of me, Kyle isn't in the talent show..."
"No. We didn't make it because we weren't in the top three as a group-"
"We were." Kenny interrupted. He continued. "He said that our group and my solo made it to the top three. My solo was number one, our group was second, and my quintet was a little bit more far behind. He said I was mostly the reason why they got so high of a score. He said it wouldn't be fair if I was in all of the performances... And because you guys didn't audition as a duet, our audition was disqualified, and Kyle got kicked out of a spot for the talent show."
Kyle's POV
I didn't make it? I thought I did so well. I guess not. Mr.Larson got out papers from the stand he had in front of him. He held them in front of the class. "These papers are in order from highest to lowest of what you scored on the audition. The score goes up to 500, the highest score was 493. The ones who I highlighted in green were either potentials for the talent show, or made it to the talent show. This will not be taken as a grade, but if you have higher than a 425, you will be excused from a sight reading assignment and two scales from your pass offs of your choice. Those with 400 and over are excused from one sight reading assignment." He started to pass out papers with a staple keeping them together. I soon get one of the papers.

Kyle's POVDisqualified... How did we get disqualified? I raise my hand, and Mr.Larson calls on me. "It says my group was number two, but it says we also got disqualified. Did we do something wrong?" I ask.
