Riley's Pov.

So it's the beginning of the new year. Another year full of lies and depression. But hopefully I was gonna find out more about my parents. I mean they went to John Adams high school. I had one 'friend' Lucas. I got up and began to straighten my hair putting it into a half up half down look. Going to my closet and pulling out a pair of high waisted black jeans a white long sleeved top and a letter jacket. I walked into the lounge to see that Edward and Emily had left for work. I made myself a bowl of Coco pops eating it quickly before grabbing my slightly high-heeled ankles boots and my bag running out my door and down my path I saw the school but go by.

Riley: Shit

Lucas: gasp, I've never heard a girl swear before.

I looked over to see Lucas wheeling his motorbike out of his garage.

Lucas: need a ride?

Riley: Yes, please.

I walked over to Lucas as he handed me my phone and necklace.

Riley: thanks for looking after them.

Lucas: No worries. Why did you need me to look after them.

I went ahead to put my necklace on as Lucas took it off me putting it on for me.

Riley: because they don't know I have them. It's how I keep in touch with my blood family.

Lucas: fair enough now hop on or we will be late.

As we arrived at school I saw all the girls look at Lucas. He must of been a player I mean no normal guy gets that much attention. He directed me towards the office and he walk off to his group of friends.

*in homeroom*

Mr valentine: we have a new student joining us today. Miss Matthews.

Lucas: so that's her last name.

Mr valentine: what Lucas?

Lucas: nothing.

Mr valentine: okay well Maya can you go get her she's in the office.

Maya: sure thing.

So I was at the school my mom and dad went to. I kinda feel emotional.

Maya: hey are you Riley? Riley Matthews?

I turned around to see a girl with blonde hair and sky blue eyes.

Riley: Yeah that's me.

Maya: come with me.

Riley: okay

As we were walking down the hall Maya turned her head to look at me

Maya: so you came to school on the back on Lucas Friar's bike yeah.

Riley: yeah I missed the bus and he's my next door neighbor so yh.

Maya: just a bit of friendly advice. He's a player. Just stay away from him okay.

Riley: okay.

*at the end of school *

So today was a flop. All I got told was to stay away from the one guy that was my friend.

Lucas: hey you right there, wanna ride home.

Riley: sure.

I was slowly getting the hang of being on a motorcycle. As we got back to Lucas house he helped me get my helmet off again. That's one thing I hadn't got the hang of yet.
