I woke up to the smell of pancakes. I never normally woke up to anything. As I sat up and looked at my phone. Shit it's 8:03 I've slept through my alarm. No no no no no. I shot out of my room and into the kitchen where I saw Shawn and Lucas.

Riley: why didn't you wake me?

Shawn: Riley you don't have school today.

Riley: I don't?

Shawn: No. Your school is going on strike so we are talking a trip down to Philadelphia for the day. I'm gonna take you to see your grandma and grandad. Along with uncle Eric and uncle Josh. Lucas is gonna come to.

Riley: you are?

Lucas: totally. I wanna meet your family.

Riley: Cool

Lucas: Cool.

We just stood there looking at each other and Shawn just watched us.

Shawn: and I missing something here or?

Riley: No no. Not missing anything. I'm gonna go get changed I'll be back down later.

I took a shower, used a leave in conditioner so my hair felt soft before. Drying and curling my hair. I never usually curl my hair but my grandparents haven't seen me in long time. I knew Shaw had told them about me but oh well life moves on. I did my makeup doing a smokey eye and a pink nude lip.

I put on a white Chinese halter crop top with a black short skirt and my platform boots with cute frilly socks sticking out the top. Grabbing my Michael kors bag making sure I had everything I needed

Lucas: how do you keep getting more and more attractive every day?

Riley: I dunno how do I.

Shawn: it's called confidence!

Riley: shall we go?

Shawn: we shall!

Shawn got in the front to drive as I called shotgun and Lucas sat in the back. The whole way there I would just listen to Shawn and Lucas' conversations. I just loved know the two people who I care about most in the world both like each other. Each time we got closer to my grandparents house I would feel my stomach flip. I'd not seen them in so long.

When we pulled up I sat in the car for a second before taking a deep breath and getting out. I could feel my body shaking.  I felt Lucas put his hand around my waist. I all of a sudden felt safe. As we made are way closer to the house I saw Shawn knock. I felt my tummy flip again as it did Lucas pulled me closer. I felt so safe again. I saw grandma Amy answer the door. I saw her look me up and down with out saying a thing. Her eyes locked on my mom's engagement ring on my right hand.

Amy: Come in come in.

Lucas: hi I'm Lucas a close friend of Riley's.

Amy: it's lovely to meet you Lucas I'm Amy.

We walked into the lounge Lucas sat right next to me holding my hand tight. I could feel the aquard silence.

Alan: So Riley, your at John Adams high school now?

Riley: Erm yes. I love it there

Alan: and that's where you met Lucas?

Riley: Well Lucas is my next door neighbor. So I met him before school.

Alan: oh good.

I couldn't focus. All I saw was Amy gazing at my mom's engagement ring. I'd only been there 5minutes

Amy: Riley,  why are you wearing that?

Riley: wearing what?

Amy: your mom's engagement ring.

Riley: I found it in the box Mr. Feeney gave me.

Amy: Well I don't like you wearing that. Give it to me.

Riley: No.

Shawn: Amy why are you being like this

Amy: i just think it's rude to wear other people's things

Shawn: Amy,  Topanga gave that to her.

Amy: so she had to wear it.

I felt my tummy turn uncontrollably.

Riley: will you stop talking about me like I'm not in the room!

Shawn: I'm sorry Riley.

Riley: grandma Amy why don't you want to to have this

Amy: because it's not yours

Riley: you know what I'm leaving. You loved me as a kid but now, you can't pick a fight with me fast enough.

I let go of Lucas' hand storming out of the house and down the steps as I heard someone say my name.

Josh: Riley, I didn't know you was coming today. How you holding up.

Riley: you mean Amy didn't even tell you I was coming. Well sorry uncle Josh but you just missed me. I'm going.

I saw Lucas fly out of the door and put his hands me around my waist. I felt safe again.

Riley: tell Amy to call me after she's gotten off her high horse were going for a walk.

Me and Lucas took a walk around the block before going to an unused play ground.

Riley: I just wished she would get over it. I like wearing this stuff. It makes me feel connected to them.

Lucas: come hear babe.

Lucas took me into his arms giving me a real tight hug. As I pulled away I just got caught up in the moment and kissed him. The kiss seamed to last forever.

Lucas Pov.

She was kissing me. Her lips felt so soft. I started to kiss her back. I really liked her. The sun was just going down. It was kinda romantic. We both pulled away looking into eachothers eyes as are noses touch. I couldn't stop smiling at her. She was just so cute. I leaned in for another kiss. I could feel the sparks. Something I had never felt before. I'd been with alot of girls and non of them made me feel t way Riley does.

I pulled away again looking into her big deep brown eyes. This was it. This was the perfect moment.

Lucas: Riley,  will you officially be my girlfriend?
