The next day I pulled myself out of bed. Throwing my hair up into a messy bun and walking into the lounge. I stood in the door frame just looking at the big brown box the table I was yet to open. *Bang bang bang*

Riley: Come on in Lucas.

Lucas: how did you know that it was me?

Riley: who else is gonna come around here at 8am?

Lucas: Good point. So you open the box yet?

Riley: on, I'm worried. What if it changes what I think about my parents in a bad way?

Lucas: take it round mine? We can open it together?

Riley: Yeah I'd like that.

Lucas picked put the box as I popped on my shoes and walked over to Lucas' house. He placed the box on the table before looking up at me.

Lucas: it will be okay.

I nodded my head as I started to rip the box. Becoming face to face with lots of letters of photos. There was one letter strapped to the top of the box.

Riley: look, it's for my parents.

Lucas: Read it.

I could feel my body shaking.

Riley: Dear Riley, are darling daughter. If you're reading this we didn't make it. We're are so very sorry we left you so young. Hopefully you are now a strong young woman with good friends. Maybe a good boyfriend. Just know that me and your dad love you so much and we are always watching over you.

I could feel the tears running down my face. Lucas came over bringing me into a big hug. It was nice to feel safe in his arms.

Lucas: it's okay.

The box was full of photos and love letters my mom and dad that wrote each other, plane tickets from trips they had been on. The photos were of them at school and college. Out of dates.

Lucas: look at this one it's your mom and dad on their wedding day.

Riley: she looked beautiful.

Lucas: what's that?

I saw Lucas reach down to the bottom of the box pulling out a medium sized blue box.

Riley: what's that.

Lucas: open it.

I sat with the box in my hands for a second before slowly opening it. I was met with three beautiful rings.

Lucas: what is it.

Riley: my moms engagement ring wedding ring and my dads wedding ring.

Lucas: there beautiful. -Look there's a little velvet pouch with a note on it.

Riley: can you read it please?

Lucas: Dear Riley, in this pouch has a silver chain. Put the Rings on the chain and wear it.

Lucas put the Rings on the chain and fastened it around my neck.

Lucas: it's beautiful.

Riley: do you think it would be weird if I wore my mom's engagement ring?

Lucas: not at all.

I put my mom's ring on my right-hand 4th finger. As Lucas mom walked in.

Mrs. Friar: that's beautiful. Who's is it.

Riley: it was my mom's engagement ring. I got this box full of their stuff when I went to Philadelphia yesterday.

Mrs. Friar: Well it's beautiful. Really looks good on you.

Riley: thank you.

Lucas: it's fits perfectly too.

Riley: thanks.

Lucas' mom sat down next to us helping us sort through the box.

Riley: Is it okay if I leave this box here with you guys.

Mrs. Friar: of cores, but why?

Riley: I don't want Emily and Edward finding it and taking it all away

Mrs. Friar: ofcores! 

Riley: anyway. I better be going.

I got up leave as I felt Lucas grab my wrists.

Lucas: Riley wait.

Riley: Yess?

Lucas: i was thinking maybe we could hang out tonight. Round yours in a date but not a date kinda way. Like we can be in are pj's eat take a way watch movies?

Riley: sure I'd like that.

As I got home I ran into the bathroom turning on the shower before getting in it. I shampooed my hair twice, used a leave in conditioner, shaved. When I got out I moisturized my body. Cleaned, toned and moisturized my skin. Brush and flosed my teeth. Dried my hair before putting it into two douch braids on my head. Putting on my gray Adidas high waisted jogging shorts. A white crop top with my pink fuzzy fluffy socks. I sat on my couch with my phone in my hand waiting for Lucas. He text me saying he was gonna be round at 7:30 but it was 8:58 and he still haddent text me. I went into my room to see that he was stood in his room, with a girl. He had forgotten to close his blinds. I stood there in shock not knowing what to do. He opened his eyes to see my standing there. I saw him run out of his room and across the lawn as I sprinted to my front door locking it before he could come in. I didn't care what anybody said. This time I was gonna do it.
