Chapter 27: The First Sight

* Andi’s POV *

 It was Sunday, my 17th birthday. I had to wake up early because Jai was picking me up for lunch and then probably hanging out with some of my other friends in the afternoon. I didn't really have any plans though my parents have blocked dinner off in my schedule.

I can't believe I'm 17! It's my 2nd birthday in Australia. It's quite interesting that both of my birthdays, I am with Jai, though I think I'm much more excited this year because of how much friends I've gained. Though my life isn't perfect, it's still happy and I wouldn't make it out here without the people I love. I checked out my phone and I already received a lot of messaged coming from my friends.

Of course, the first one who greeted me was Jai. "Happy birthday! Have a good one. I love you."

"Aww thanks, I will. I love you too."

"You're up early." He commented.

"I'm excited!"

"Well, be ready." He dared.

 "Gulp! What do you have in mind?"

"Just wear that pretty dress we bought yesterday."

I was curious to know what he had in mind but knowing Jai, I couldn't get any clue. I checked out my other messages and replied to each and everyone. As soon as I was done, I headed downstairs to see my family we're having breakfast.

"Goodmorning dear, happy birthday!" Mum greeted.

 "Happy birthday, Andrea! My little girl is growing up." Dad greeted.

"Happy birthday, Squirt." Jake greeted. Yeah, nice way to call me.

"Don't forget dinner tonight! We'll wait for you here." Dad reminded me.

"Jai can come to dinner as well." Mum offered.

"Okay, I won't be late and I'll tell him."

I had pancakes and strawberries for breakfast. I just wanted a light meal. I was too excited to see what Jai has prepared for me. This was a special day and I'm gonna spend it with my loved ones. I was pretty excited.

After an hour, the door bell rang. I rushed to the door to see if it's Jai, but I saw Kaity instead. "Hey Kaity, what brings you here?" I asked, not because she wasn't welcome but we didn't have anything planned as far as I remember.

"Oh, happy birthday! Well I'm actually here to kidnap you."

"But I'm going out with Jai."

"I know. Don't worry, I'll bring you to your prince charming." She teased as she blindfolded me and directed me to the car.

"Hey Andi, happy birthday! It's Nathan."

"Thanks. Where are we going?"

"You'll see." Kaity chanted in a singsong voice.

Nathan drove around somewhere. I couldn't see where we were going. My phone has been beeping but I couldn't check it because my hands were tied as well. I was pretty excited to know what will happen next.

After a couple of minutes, the car stopped. "We're here!" Kaity exclaimed. She helped me out the car and asked "are you ready?" I nodded and then she removed the knot from my hands and the blindfold from my eyes.

The first sight when I opened my eyes was a bit blurry. It was a white house full of decorations. "What are we doing here?"

Kaity giggled like she knows something will happen next.
