Chapter 16: Loyalty

* Andi’s POV *

The past few days were amazing. I don’t even know where to start. All I know Jai and Luke had open up that night when I had detention and now everything was back to normal. Normal, I mean Jai and Luke were back to being themselves when I wasn’t even here yet. Things in school were normal too even though Jai and Luke weren’t back. Sam and I, well we’re getting there. It’s a bit awkward during the past few days but I guess in time we’ll be back being good friends again. It takes time. I can now hang out with Luke and Jai without getting one of them jealous or hurt. Jai is still crushing on Ariana and have been talking about her non-stop which is cool.

Everything that’s been happening lately has been happier. Of course, Luke and Jai’s twitter arguments were finally back. But this time, they don’t really get upset in reality compared to when we had a mess a couple of months ago. No more verbal arguments and fighting. I can now be at peace. I can even hang out with Jai alone and not have an upset Luke when I get home. Everything was perfect and I couldn’t ask for more.

Since Jai got followed by Ariana on Twitter, he gets busier each day talking with her, but I was happy for him. Our friends kept on teasing him about Ariana with the “what ifs” scenario and he was so into it. I’ve never seen him so much happy. I was happy that he was happy.

It was a Friday night and were all hanging out at Nathan’s house. It was a party and a sleepover for most of us. It was actually the first time my parents have agreed to let me go into a co-ed sleepover. I know I’m 17 but if this was happening in my hometown, I don’t think they would even let me. But then again, I didn’t have any guy friends.

Some of the guys were having a drink. I can’t really drink because I was allergic to alcohol. I didn’t mind though because I don’t like the taste of beer. I can take fruity cocktails but it can only contain a tiny portion of alcohol or my allergies will come and get me big time. I’ve tried drinking during sophomore year. We were at Sarah’s house for a sleepover. Her parents didn’t mind if we have any alcohol as long as we don’t drink that much. Sarah made fruity cocktails so it wasn’t that bad. It took me a few glasses before my allergies have gone out. Good thing, Sarah knew what to do and let me drink some medicine before it got any worse. And that was the last time I ever drink.

“You don’t drink?” Nathan asked.

“Fruity cocktails with little alcohol I can.”

“Well too bad you’re dating me. No, she can’t drink.” Luke joined in the conversation.

“Haha you got a protective boyfriend.” Nathan commented.

I sighed. “I know.”

“She’s allergic to alcohol.” Luke commented.

“I see. Well Luke got a point there.” Nathan agreed.

“I know. But it’s not fair. I want to join in the fun.” I pouted.

“You can join in without drinking.” Nathan replied.

Well, yeah they both got a point. I don’t need to drink to have fun with them. I can have all the chips if they don’t want to give me some.

Nathan came back with a fruity drink. “Here you go.” He said and handed me a glass.

I was all smiles but then Luke made a face to Nathan and commented, “Wtf Nathan.”

“Ease up bro, it’s just four seasons.” Great and I thought he was gonna save me. I drank the juice. It tastes good. At least I have all the four seasons to myself.

Nathan’s house was huge. His parents were out for the weekend. His brother was out too. His little sister was in a friend’s house so basically we have the house to ourselves. Some of the guys were playing pool. Some of the guys were playing table tennis outside. Some were chilling in the lounge room watching a movie. Some were catching up and telling stories. While I was hanging out with Luke and we were both on Twitter. Jai was on Twitter too because Ariana was online. They were having the twitter argument of the century, but if you actually see them in person, we’re all just quietly sitting down beside each other while they were having an argument online. Typical Luke and Jai.
