Chapter 17: Surprise! Surprise!

* Andi's POV *

Having a party with your friends is always fun especially if you don’t have to worry about going home after the party has ended. It’s sure is better to spend time more than just the party itself. We have the whole house this weekend because Nathan’s parents were out on a trip. His older brother and his younger sister were also out with their sets of friends.

Since everyone didn’t go home, the house was full of people. I woke up from boisterous laughter from our friends outside the room. I slowly opened my eyes and the sun was already up. I thought they’d all be sleeping as we slept late last night and most of them were drunk. I was still covered with the comfy and puffy blanket, as I noticed Luke sat down beside me.

“Good morning beautiful.” He greeted as he went under the blanket, and gave me a kiss.

“What time is it?” I asked as I stretched.

“It’s around 9:30am.” Hearing the time, I hurriedly went inside the bathroom to freshen up before going out of the bedroom and face our friends. I went out almost 10:00 am and found Luke chilling under the covers.

“Hey, you’re still here.” I said and smiled.

“I was waiting for you. I didn’t come out yet.” He smiled, his eyes were twinkling with delight.

“How long have you been waiting?”

“Well I got up around 8:00am and took a shower and stuff.”

I sat by the bed and kissed him. “Now get up, and let’s fix this!” I commanded, pointing to the messed up bed we slept in last night.

“We can stay for a bit.” He teased.

“Nope, I’m hungry.” I declined and he pouted.

“I have a treat for you.” He said and then grabbed my arm and I came flying my way to him. Okay, maybe I wanted to kiss him more. It was an opportunity that doesn’t come along often.

A couple of minutes have passed and both our stomachs were looking for food to eat so we decided to fix the bed and come out.

“Hey, they’re finally awake!” Andrew yelled. Everyone was waiting for us apparently and they thought we wouldn’t get up any sooner.

“How’s sleep?” Nathan asked.

“It was good, very comfortable. Thank you.” I replied.

“There’s food on the table. We left out some food for you both.” Nathan said. Kaity and Julie were still on the breakfast table so Luke and I joined them.

“Hey, would you like pancakes?” Kaity asked, “There are some left but I didn’t cook them yet so it would be hot when you guys eat it.” She got up and prepared the pancakes.

“Thanks Kaity.” I said as I got up to get our plates and utensils.

“There’s juice in the fridge if you want.” Kaity offered and laughed. “Haha I’m offering you food and I don’t even live here.” Kaity commented…

“It’s fine, babe.” Which Nathan heard and told Kaity it was alright. “You guys can eat anything you want in the fridge.” He then talked to Luke and I.

“Thanks bro” Luke said.

“Do you want juice, water, or milk?” I asked Luke.

“I’ll just have water.”

I handed Kaity the plate for the pancake and gave the other one to Luke. Julie pushed the other food to our side – bacon, meat loaf, sunny side eggs, and bread were some of them. I got Luke a glass of water while I got myself some orange juice from the fridge and went back to the table.
