* Luke’s POV *

“Don’t pick me up. I’m in detention.” Andi texted me as I was about to get ready to have some lunch, which I lost my appetite for as I got worried over her text.

Andi’s so sweet and not the type of girl who would get into a fight. If she did then it might be a reason of protecting her friends, but it’s still unlikely. If only I was still in school, I could have protected her but right now, all I have to do is wait.

But I was impatient. My whole afternoon was spent walking back and forth around the house thinking of reasons how my girlfriend got into detention.

“Can you stay still?” Beau asked, “I’m getting dizzy from you walking back and forth.”

“You don’t have to watch me!” I exclaimed.

“I don’t but I can still see at the corner of my eye.” I didn’t wanna argue so I did stop and went to sit down the chair.

“What’s wrong, baby?” Mum asked.

“Andi got in a fight and she has detention later.”

“Oh my, Andi. What happened?” Mum asked.

“I don’t know. She didn’t say yet.”

Logging onto Twitter was my last hope since I knew I could probably get news from our friends of what had happened. First off, I checked Andi’s wall, even though I knew she wouldn’t tweet about it. Next off my list was Julie, but she didn’t have any posts relating to why Andi was in detention.

As I was checking our other friends, I stumbled upon Kaity’s wall. “I hate seeing my friends fight. I hate taking sides. I hope things will turn out fine in detention.”

Okay, so it was someone in the group. But who could it be? Who would Andi have a fight with? What would the fight be about? I was wondering because Andi wasn’t the type to fight someone unless she was protecting a friend. But then she fought with a friend so who could she be protecting this time?

Andi hasn’t texted me the whole day and I was really worried. I know I shouldn’t because it felt like when Andi sent me that message, she wasn’t worried at all. Maybe I’m exaggerating things. Maybe I’m assuming something has gone wrong. Maybe it’s just a complete misunderstanding and Penola was just taking it too seriously.

“Are you going to the gym?” Beau asked. I looked up and saw Jai was about to go out.

“No, I’m gonna check something out.” He replied as he hurriedly went out the door, not even telling any of us where he was headed off to.

Though, I didn’t really mind and went back to check some stuff on the laptop. It was a boring day. I wish my girl would text me soon because I wanted to hear from her. To keep myself busy, I went to switch on the TV and browsed the channels for anything good to watch. And then there was SpongeBob, at least it’s keeping me sane.

After quite some time, I looked over to the clock and saw it was almost the end of school day, which means Andi, will be in detention soon. I checked my phone if she has texted me or something but then she might not be able to check it during detention if there was someone looking after them.

“Text me when you’re done.” I sent her a message so she would know I was waiting.

An hour has passed and I wasn’t sure if she was done with detention. Still no reply, so I decided to come to her house and wait there, thinking she would be tired after detention and wouldn’t want to hang out anymore.

“Hey Jake.” I greeted when I saw him outside their house from the garage.

“Hey Luke, Andi’s not home yet.”
