Chapter 3: Without You

Another term in school was about to start. Having two weeks off from school isn’t enough. I was already getting used to sleeping and waking up late. I was used to not having to worry about school work, or other school related things. This time it’s gonna be different. Luke and Jai dropped out of school so I would have lesser time to hang out with them.

“I can’t believe school is starting again tomorrow.” I sighed, wishing that it was just a dream. Better yet, wishing I was homeschooled.

“It’s gonna be okay.” Luke assured me.

“No, it’s not. Who will I hang out with now? You’re not gonna be there. Jai won’t be either.” I cried.

“You have your girls.” He uttered. I knew he was trying to make me feel better but it isn’t working.

“Omg, what about media classes? No Luke to do the stuff anymore.” I teased, smiling at him.

“Ha, so that’s your only concern?” He joked around, clasping his hands together, bringing it close to his heart.

“I’m just playing. But I’m surely gonna miss you in school!”

“You’ll see me after school” Luke said while comforting me.

We were hanging out with some friends while they were shooting for a new Janoskians video. Jai came in a good mood, and I was so curious to know what’s up.

“Did she add you yet?” Dylan asked.

“No, she hasn’t! It’s impossible now!” he said.

“Are we talking about Ariana Grande?” I asked.

“Yes!” Jai exclaimed.

“So you have a crush on her?” I asked.

“Yeah.” Jai uttered.

“Since when?” I asked, “Because the first time you even knew her was a couple of days ago.”

“Since I saw her while you were watching that show. I never knew who she was until you told me her name and I was love struck!” Jai explained.

“Wow Jai, never saw you this happy before” I said. I kept on teasing him the whole day and we talked about Ariana Grande. I was happy for him. 

The day went by so quickly. They finished their shooting their new video which means Luke would be busy the whole afternoon editing it while I’m gonna be hanging out with some of our other friends. I have watched him edit the videos and it’s crazy. He said I kept on distracting him which makes editing a video longer than it usually takes him.

Tomorrow’s gonna be the start of the school and as much as I want to hang out with him, he needs to work on the Janoskians video. “Can I at least hang out with you today? I promise I won’t talk. I’m just gonna be in the same room.” I asked, hoping he would say yes.

“But I’ll get distracted. I promise it won’t take long.” I had no other choice but to agree with him.

“Hey, wanna hang out while Luke’s editing?” Jai asked.

“Yes! I would love to.” I agreed. Well at least, I could get to hang out with my best friend.

“Let’s catch a movie then.” Jai suggested, “The usual.”

“Yay! I’m down for it.” I was excited. Jai and I haven’t seen a movie together since we broke up and it feels a bit weird today, but I would rather hang out with him than with anyone else.

“So, what are we gonna do now?” Kaity asked the group.

“Well, Jai and I are watching a movie.” I said while Luke and the other guys were fixing their equipment and loading it to Beau’s car.
