"What does the message say?" Adelaide asked, worried.
"They know you are gone. They are sending multiple search parties out to look for you. And they think that we have you," Cordelia said. Adelaide gulped. She was scared. Although she knew that the headquarters was secret, she couldn't help but feel very frightened. Oliver wrapped the end of his tail around her ankle to show he was there for her.
"What is going to happen to us?" Oliver asked.
"You two will stay here until we can figure this out," Cordelia said. To someone like Adelaide, who liked running around, this seemed like the worst idea ever. And to Oliver, who couldn't get enough of the wind under his wings, this also seemed like the worst idea ever. Adelaide sighed, leaning her head on her hand. What was she going to do? She wanted so badly to be able to help, and to be able to actually see the sun. But she couldn't.
"Hey," Cordelia said, "cheer up. We're sending a few spies to try and rescue your father."
"Really?" Adelaide said, a huge grin spreading across her face. Cordelia smiled and nodded. Adelaide jumped up excitedly.
"When? When are you going?" She asked.
"We don't know for sure. The team going is occupied right now. They're spies and work with the Council and right now the Council is doing everything they can to search for you two. So when the commotion dies down, the team is going to go and find your father, with the hope of being able to bring him back here," Cordelia said. Adelaide grinned, hadly able to control the excitement and anxiety.
That evening, around seven o' clock, two anxious people ran into the common room. Cordelia apprehended them, and they immediately began speaking in hushed tones. Adelaide and Oliver sat at a table eating together, laughing and joking. Cordelia glanced back at them, scared that the news she had recieved would ruin their fun night. But then again, Adelaide would want to know. Before Cordelia could say anything, Orchid ran up to her, a few tears running down her face. Orchid was her best friend, and so Cordelia hugged her, trying to soothe the pain of Orchid's heartbreak. The embrace broke, and Orchid wiped away her tears. Cordelia saw two dragons, including Braiden, saunter in, worried looks on their faces.
    "What's wrong?" Cordelia asked them.
"He isn't showing signs of recognition. I'm really worried about him. Orchid...she's not holding up too well. And when Johnathan tries to ask about what the guards would say, or thing like that, he shakes his head and tells them that he can't answer," Braiden said.
"What about when Orchid walked in?" Cordelia asked.
"He looked at her, said 'you look familiar.'," Braiden said glumly.
"Adelaide won't be happy," Cordelia muttered.
"Should we introduce her to him? Orchid told me they were very, very close," Braiden suggested.
"Sure," Cordelia said. "Except I'm worried about Adelaide. She's been throuh enough."
Cordelia walked over to Adelaide and Oliver.
"Adelaide," she said, cleariong her throat. "Yeah?" Adelaide said.
"We brought your father back. And we're going to take you to see him. But he's...not feeling well at the moment," Cordelia said. "So try not to be too jumpy." Adelaide grinned, feeling the tears welling up in her eyes. Her father was safe! And he was here!
Cordelai led Adelaide to Johnathan's office, where her father was. Adelaide opened the door and stepped in. She noticed how thin he was, but he still had the same brown hair, and the same grey-brown eyes.
"Father," she said.
"Hello," he said to her. "Excuse my asking but...who are you?"
