Peridots POV

It was the next morning and I woke up. Tired af. I asked my self why I could be so tired and all the memories of last night flooded into my mind. Amethyst was a great person. Hopefully I'd see more of her today.

Both of my moms would already be at work since they leave so early. Lapis and I were the only two home, like most hours of the day, since Jasper was at college. I smoothed back some of my hair with my hands and pulled a hoodie over my head. My hair was a curly mess in the morning. I grabbed my glasses and phone before I left the room to go down stairs. Lapis was in the kitchen, dressed. She always got up early, unlike me who tried to get up as late as possible with out being late for school. I sat at a stool next to her and placed my phone down on the counter. I grabbed a bottle of chocolate milk as my breakfast because I didn't like eating in the morning but I hated to be extremely hungry at 11:00. I gulped it down and wiped my mouth on my sleeve. Lapis watched me as she sat with one leg bent up to her chest and foot on the stool and the other dangling below. "Need a napkin" she asked sarcastically. "No thanks Lazuli" was my response. "Can you please not call me my first name! I told you I prefer my middle!" She spat at me. "It's not your real name though." I said at her peering through my glasses. "And I just like to annoy you" I said pushing them up with a smile. (Lazuli Lapis Diamond)

I walked up stairs to get ready for the day grabbing my phone on the way. I searched through my wardrobe for the right clothes. Ribbed grey long sleeve shirt that cut off below my 'abs', black leggings, my army green jacket that I always wore, and the same green colored converse. I looked at the pins that were on the left chest side of my jacket and straightened them so they were all even. There were all kinds of pins there since I collected them. To name a few: a lonely hearts club pin, and crab (because it's my zodiac sign), and an arctic monkeys pin.

I made my way to the bath room, two doors down the hall. I brushed the top of my hair, because if I brushed the rest it would get poofy since I have curls. I pulled the top up, brushed it into a small pony tail and fixed the rest to how I liked it. I finished getting ready with brushing teeth, minimal makeup, and the usual. I walked out the bathroom, down the stairs and to the office. I inspected my backpack to make sure every thing was there and pulled the strap over my head. Lapis was outside waiting for the bus so I joined her. Soon after the yellow school bus pulled up with screaming kids and flying paper. Getting on the bus In front of me was Amethyst. Lapis drove me to school yesterday so that's why I didn't see her. And I attended no classes yesterday because it was my first day, so I talked to the principal all day as she explained what happened at the school. So today I got my classes. Amethyst boarded the bus and I followed her. She took a seat in the farthest seat and I sat across from her. She turned towards me and flashed a smile. "You new to this school?" She asked. I nodded in response. "Need help finding you way around?" "Uhhhh uh yea" i said. "I'd be happy to help!" I nodded in agreement and placed my ear buds in my ears.

Pretty sure I fell asleep on the bus because next thing I knew the bus jolted forward and the school was in front of us. "Oh you're awake" amethyst said. "I was about to wake you up. You look so cute when you sleep." 'Cue the blushing' I thought. And that's what happened. Amethyst got up as I rubbed my now burning cheeks. What was this? Amethyst giggled as she turned around to see my reaction. I returned it with a dorky smile.

I followed Amethyst off the bus and into the school. Lapis was far ahead of me going to her locker on another floor. As Amethyst walked she swayed her hips side to side in the grey ripped jeans that she wore. They looked nice and on her a- wait what? "Did you hear me Dot?" "Huh?" I said as I looked up. She turned to look at me and her grey-lavender hair flipped around. "Do you need help finding your locker and first class?" She asked again in a sweet tone, hopefully she wasn't annoyed with me. "Oh ummm...." I said before I nodded in a slightly embarrassed way tilting my head. "Oh ok. We'll stop at my locker first. Hopefully both our first hour teachers won't be mad." She responded.

Amethyst turned around and started walking again and I followed close behind her. I found myself looking back down again at her backside. WHAT AM I DOING? I thought. But I didn't move my eyes. Until I bumped into Amethyst. Apparently she had stopped because she was now at her locker. It was at the end of a small hallway off of a main hallway that lead to classes. This one had just a few lockers and only a window at the end. No classes and nobody else seemed to be here. "Oof" I said as my head bumped into the back of her head. I moved my hands that had accidentally slipped on to her wide hips. I threw my hand in the air and jumped back as she turned to me. "S-sorry-y" i said responding quickly. She smiled "I know you didn't mean to bump into me, it's all right." "Oh that too" I confessed rubbing the back of my neck.
