She leaned into me, her face getting closer and closer. I had asked Amethyst to kiss me, and she was about to do just that. This would be our second kiss. But it felt like this could be our hundredth time. The kiss felt so right. We should have done this sooner, much sooner, both Amethyst and I knew this. We had wasted so much time when we both liked each other but just didn't do shit about it. So right now, we made up for the lost time.

I fell back onto the bed while Amethyst rested herself above me. She loomed over me creating an aura of power originating from her. She looked like she knew what she was doing. I on the other hand did not. I was very much new to the concept of a relationship. To the concept of romance. To the concept of love. But I could tell that I was in love with this girl. Somehow already. Those white-lavender locks of hers draped over the both of us like a curtain, covering us from everything else, focusing on just the two of us. It felt private. It felt like nothing else mattered then. It was just us it the world, and honestly, I think I would have been perfectly fine with that. Her bangs tickled my forehead and exposed her other eye. The other eye that I loved. I gazed into both of them, their tootsie-roll-brown color shined back at me. Speckles of violet-blue shimmered in the brown too. I could see this color when they twinkled when the light hit them in the perfect spot. I inspected her whole face. Freckles began to dot her skin as the suns rays began to shine harder as summer neared. I tried to count them. One, two, three. Too many to count. I would have loved to take the time to just admire each dot that had been painted by the sun onto her face. Amethyst placed her lips onto mine, suddenly smashing our faces together. She was a rough kisser no matter what, no matter the moment (I was finding this out) I didn't mind though, but I wasn't rough back. I let her do what she wanted: biting my lip occasionally, pulling away only when she needed air, and positioning us however she wanted. As I got more comfortable, I slowly snaked my arms around her neck and crossed them, pulling her closer, and leaving her unable to get away. Her arms stabilized her but I could tell she wanted to touch me with them. If she did, she'd fall. Because of this, I wanted her closer. If I couldn't have her hands on me, I wanted her body on me. I began to move my legs into the air, and wrap them around her. They crossed around her waist and hugged and tugged her close. Amethyst made a "hmph!" sound at this as she suddenly touched right up against in between my legs. I smiled and giggled into her lips. Then she began to move those lips with a trail of kisses from the corner of my mouth to below my jaw. I knew her lip stick would be leaving marks behind, like a trail she could follow back if she wanted to get back to my lips.

After nipping at my ear she pulled her head and body to back hovering above me. She analyzed me with a smile like I was a cupcake she wanted from inside the bakery glass. But she looked like the sweeter treat to me. Amethyst took her index finger and thumb and rubbed at the hem of her shirt that I wore. "Cute." she mumbled. She spoke up: "you look cute in this." With this: I flipped us. I flipped Amethyst so she lay on the bed. The wind appeared to have been knocked out of her, but it was probably just that her breath had been taken away. She lay there, I knew she was enticed and excited, but her face remained in a state of shock. After pushing my self on top of her, straddling her, I pulled my hair into a bun on top so nothing would get in the way. My smile turned into a smirk as I noticed she still had a dumbfound, amazed, facial expression. My head raced as I thought about just how cute she looked like that. My heart flared up when I realized it was because of me. As I went down to kiss her I was interrupted. A new voice, away from us said, "your clothes are cle-"

Steven, Amethyst's younger brother stood in the door frame. In his arms he carried a small basket with neatly folded clothes: the ones Amethyst and I had been wearing before. His eyes had grown big as he stared at us. He reminded me of a deer in head lights. When in reality he had just walked in on his older sister and her best friend in the middle of something. Something that might have gotten out of hand. Amethyst removed her hand, the hand that had snaked itself around me and rested itself gently on my ass. She acted as if it had never even been there and that she had never even thought about touching me. Suddenly, Steven let go of the basket, letting it fall to the floor and he ran away fiercely. Next thing I knew I was shoved away forcefully onto the floor as Amethyst ran after him and grabbed a hold of his arm. "Steven!" Amethyst shouted. She realized she was telling. "Steven." She now whispered. "Please. You can't tell anyone." I watched from the floor looking up at the two in the door way where they exchanged a conversation with facials expressions and glances. Some sort of sibling talk. Lapis and I had that. And I had definitely seen Jasper and Lapis have several meaningless, dumb, arrogant conversations with just a wave of the hand and a blink of an eye. "I understand" Steven finished with. He then pretended to zipper his mouth shut, and lock it. Amethyst held out her her hand and Steven took out the imaginary key and handed it to her. She took the key and put it in her mouth and then proceeded to swallow. Sibling things: cute. After picking me up from the floor, and putting our now clean clothes on, Amethyst and I started to walk downstairs. "Care to watch a movie with us?" Pearl asked.

It had been weeks since Amethyst and I had been hiding our relationship from others. Everyone but Steven that is. Now that he had found out about us. I'm not sure why he had to walk in on us or didn't have the decency to knock. But it was too late for that. He knew and I was to covenant with it.

"Hey Pearl? Peri and I are heading out to the park k?" Amethyst shouted from the kitchen as she laced up her black vans. She bothered to keep her shoes stainless where as my high tops were daubed with mud and splotched with stains. They were fracturing too from years of good use. I stood waiting for her with my hands in my olive jackets pockets fiddling with the threads and tissue shreds in there. I pulled out a crumbled receipt and fidgeted with it between my fingers. "Yes, but take Steven and his little friend with you. I need them out of the house to clean." Pearl responded walking into the kitchen. Her hair was pinned back with Bobby pins and she wore rubber gloves with frilly ornamentation, how "mom" of her. "Ugh" I heard Amethyst grunt. "I wanted some time with just Per and I."

Garnet walked into the room with a spray bottle in hand. She sprayed the air randomly as if it needed cleaning. I didn't get why she did that it was just another confusing thing she did. I really didn't comprehend her actions in anyway. "You're ALWAYS doing stuff with just Peridot and you. Spend sometime with some other people too. Like your BROTHER. He needs some moments with you too." Pearl answered grabbing Clorox wipes from below the sink. "Steven! Connie! Come here! Amethyst and Peridot have offered to take you two to the park with them!" Pearl shouted while giving Amethyst a look. I glanced to Amethyst to see her reaction. She rolled her eyes and grabbed my hand.

We walked out of the house together, strolling behind Steven and Connie how ran ahead of us frolicking as they walked along to the the park. As we passed by my house a moving truck, a uhaul, pulled up. Lapis walked from the house carrying a heavy looking box that she struggled with. The cardboard was labeled in sharpie with "this side up" and "glasses and plates." I tightened my grip to Amethyst's hand and pulled her along, knowing if one of my moms saw me she'd want me to help load truck up. Even though I wasn't the one moving away. Blu and Lapis were. I was staying with Yatasha in that house right there. As we ran I realized I was going to miss Lapis for sure. I hoped she'd miss me too. If this had been awhile ago I know she wouldn't of. Just when I thought we had gotten away a strong and powerful voice called: "Peridot! Neighbor Girl! Help us pack up this truck!"

No question, a demand, and definitely no please. Yatasha stood in the middle of the yard standing tall with her hands on her hips. She squinted angrily at me and gestured for the two of us to go there. I grunted angrily and narrowed my eyes at her. What had she done for me that I should do this for her? I stomped my way towards her with Amethyst's hand still in mine. "Let's get to work babe." I growled through my teeth while sneering.

Amethyst passed by me carrying a box down from the stairs that was labeled "clothes," clearly in Lapis' messy writing. She wearily smiled at me, trying to make me feel better about this. But it wasn't okay we were supposed to be at the park not doing work. I shot her back a look to say "don't even."

"Peridot." Yatasha announced. Suddenly I found her looking over me creating a flooding shadow on me. "Let's talk" she added. She guided me to the dinning room table where we were still able to see the rest of my family taking boxes from rooms and rooms to the truck. Lapis, Blu, and Amethyst all passed by. Yatasha sat at the head of the table with posture so neat and her hands folded so tight, that it felt like she was a principal at a strict catholic school, shaming one of their students. I felt a wave of anxiety rush over me as if I had graffitied the school and was now in her office. But this wasn't school. And I didn't graffiti anything. And I wasn't sure if I was even in trouble. Yatasha just always gave off the feeling. A feeling that she was shiver you and she was always right. A feeling that you were in the dirt and always always wrong. "Peridot." She said interrupting my thoughts. "You're moving away with your mother and sister. You're going to live in Michigan."
