AN: sorry if this seems rushed or crappy because the last like 1/4 is. I've been writing this for weeks now but then I recalled today was coming out day so I HAD to post it today so I finished it all. Hope it's good enough!

I fell asleep to rain that night. Not only from the grey, ominous clouds, but from my blue and green swirled eyes. Thunder pounded outside, frightening my ears, but it also occurred in the pounding of my chest. From my heart....that fell too easily in love.

When I woke up, I decided to ignore all happenings of last night. All actions and all emotions. I'd be my regular self. After tying my hair up and placing my silver circular glasses on my face, I walked down the stair case to the first floor. It was the Saturday of the last week of April and the rain still continued so it didn't appear as though it was morning. But it was. It was. The storm remained there reminding me of my emotion, but the thought of day reminded me to hide it. She didn't feel the same.

Lazuli Lapis (if you don't remember in my AU lapis' middle name is lapis and lazuli is her first but she goes by her second. Peridot's calls her by her proper name for correctness and to annoy her.) sat at the dining room table with a bowl of cereal in front of her and her head placed in the palms of her hands. She starred at the full bowl of Captain Crunch with out blinking her swollen eyes.

"Hey, Lazuli!" I said, with a slight punch to her arm while I walked past her into the kitchen. I poured my self a glass of chocolate almond milk in a cold glass from the cabinet. The sulking beverage slid down my throat as I strolled back to the dining room and sat down next to my junior sister. She remained in the same position, so I nudged her elbow.

"Laz? Lazuli?" I questioned.

"Lapis. It's Lapis." She pleaded.

"Alright..Lapis. Good morning. The rain is nice isn't it? You're favorite weather. Our favorite."

"It's nice."

"Mhm. Boxes all packed?" I asked.

Her hands slid from past her hands and without her consent, her face landed right in her cereal bowl. A groan exited her mouth as I refrained from giggling. I placed my hand on her head: "Double L... Are you okay?"

And with that she snapped her head up, wiped her face with her shirt, stood up, walked away and responded with. "Sure am Dot. Sure am." But she didn't seem like it.

My eyes glued onto the rain that continued to bleed down in sheets. The room illuminated from a strike of lightning and a roar soon followed. I rested my head down on the table for a while as I watched the droplets fall. My brain was used to Lapis going off a doing something with Jasper on the weekends, but Jasper left for college. Supposedly. A part of me still didn't believe that after the behavior of people in my breaking family. So Lazuli was out of it. Plus she still wasn't too fond of this divorce thing, as she seemed to be taking it harder than everyone else.

My head was still laying on the table when I figured I needed to go get dressed. I made my way up stairs and put on a grey tanktop, short sleeve button up green shirt, that I left in buttoned, and a pair of pale blue jean shorts. For some reason, I decided to take out the yellow stud star earrings in both of my ears, and I replaced them with small alien heads. I fidgeted with them, getting them perfectly aligned and the ran my finger near the other two loops I had on both my upper ears. Lastly I slipped some green ankle socks on and slid on my butt down the stairs.

"Oof" I grunted as I landed on the hardware floor below. Making my way into the living room I could hear the TV. In the doorway from the kitchen to living room I stood observing Lapis laying out on the couch with her disheveled blue hair and pajamas still on. Our favorite show, that we hadn't watched in quite some time, was on. Camp Pining Hearts. Immediately, I recognized the episode. I had it by down by heart and considered my self a master on the subject. Lapis got mad at me occasionally for boasting at such a thing. But I knew she was secretly jealous. I sat down next to her on the couch. She didn't even look over to me, she kept her eyes glued on the television.
