AN: Happy birthday to me! And because it's my birthday here's a really cute Amedot full chapter! Hmmmmmm they're getting closer!

"Dinner Girls!" We heard a voice shout up stairs from Amethyst's room. The two of us scrambled down the stairs ready to respond to the grumbling in our stomachs. Pearl stood in the kitchen untying a frilly blue apron, one that seemed you wouldn't want to get food grease and flour on. Garnet already sat at the kitchen counter beginning to close her laptop down as Amethyst and I took our seats next to each other. I adjusted my position on the stool because of its height compared to mine. I looked over to Amethyst and she was placed with the same struggle. "I wish I had a stool to get on this stool." She stated with a laugh. I copied this giggle. Suddenly, everyone's eyes turned to the front door as it opened quickly. Steven entered with mud patches on the knees of his jeans and a grass stain or two on his faded red shirt. "Steven what have you been DOING?" Pearl questioned while sliding a plate in front of Garnet. "Fun." Was the only word he said as he sat down in between Garnet and Amethyst. "That's not an adequate answer." Pearl said as she slid another two plates of food in front of Steven and Amethyst. I inspected what was being served and realized it was sesame chicken. My eyes suddenly got wide because I had not informed Ms. Pearl of my dietary needs. "Um Ms. Pearl?" I asked. "Oh don't worry Peridot, Amethyst informed me." She responded before I could say something. I looked over to Amethyst and mouthed thanks to her. "Pearl's a vegan so it's not much of a hassle." She told me. I looked over to the women as she gave a nod and smile. She brought over two plates that were separated from the rest, and put one in front of me and the other beside me as she sat in the final stool next to me. I looked over and the three omnivores had already started eating. Then I glanced over to Pearl as she held her fork up with the meat substitute on it and said: "tofu!" And with that, my mouth started watering for my favorite food in the world.

"Mm thank you for the lovely dinner Ms. Pearl." I said as I finished my last bite of the meal which cleaned the plate up. "Oh you're very welcome!" She said pleased. It had been quite a while that I had eaten a dinner with other people. Like I've said earlier, my family doesn't ever eat together. You're on your own for every meal. This was nice and I envied the perfect family that Amethyst appeared to have. I wanted to live here, I wanted this to be my family, but I knew somethings could get a little weird with the emotions I was beginning to display for my friend, therefore I'd have to stay with my family. The family that hated me. Except Jasper she only looked down on me. I was snapped back to reality as I heard a crashing sound. "Careful Amethyst!" Pearl said beside me while struggling to get to her. Apparently Amethyst had set her plate in the sink and the dishes and readjusted causing the sound. "Relax Pearl." Amethyst said while rolling her eyes. "I will 'relaaax' when you are able to safely do tasks!" So maybe this family wasn't so perfect but they beat mine by a long shot. "Um I better get going home..." I said sadly as I pulled my green jacket off of the hook near the door. Amethyst looked longinly at me and she mimicked the sadness in my eyes. I wasn't sure if she didn't want me to leave or because she knew what my family was like so she feared what might happen to me next or some combination of the two. Pearl began to wave her hand as if to signal goodbye but was stopped when Amethyst used her pointer finger to signal 'come here' to Pearl. Pearl then bent down a slight bit as Amethyst whispered muffled words in her ear. I waited patiently. The expression on Pearl's face worsened as time went on while Amethyst continued to talk. Pearl then displayed a deeply worried and expression of sorrow on her face as she bit her pointer nail and gave a nod to Amethyst. Amethyst then slowly walked over to where I stood, two feet away from the door. "Um Pearl says you can stay over if you'd like." "Please!" I said.

"I can walk through to my window to get pajamas and other essentials." I told amethyst as we were now up in her room. "Should you tell your parents?" She asked. "They didn't notice I wasn't home for dinner, they never picked me up from volleyball, Lazuli disowned me as her sister, Blu doesn't consider me her child, and Yatasha regrets having me... So.... I don't think they will care." As I looked back to Amethyst she said on the edge of her bed looking down at her legs depressingly. I tried to cheer her up so I said "But Jasper, Jasper still cares about me, I'll text her I'm staying over here! Okay?" I said trying to sound excited to cheer her up even though the sentence called for no enthusiasm. "Okay." The girl said with a fake smile as I took out my phone and texted my eldest sister. Although Jasper annoyed me, she was the little light I had left in my family. This prompted me to muster up ways Jasper makes me happy and to reflect them onto Amethyst. Although I liked my hair nice and neat, Jasper's strongest way of showing affection to me was when she ruffled my hair. And I figured why not give it a shot on Amethyst. So after I had pressed the send button, I walked over to the lavender-haired girl and ruffled her hair and said "C'mon Amethyst, let's do something!"
