"Papa!" Kurt looked up from the paperwork that was all over his desk. Out of curiosity and boredom from sitting and working for hours, he headed out into the living room. There, he found Blaine and Harper snuggled up on the couch under many blankets as a movie played on the TV. The little boy smiled up at Kurt with his big, blue puppy dog eyes. "Can you watch movie with me?"
Kurt chuckled softly. "Of course, Munchkin." He went to sit on the other side of Harper and pulled the blankets over himself. He looked up over the little boy's head at Blaine and caught him staring back. The two smiled warmly at each other for a few seconds and then both simultaneously looked down at Harper.
Kurt could easily say that Harper was the love of his life. He didn't go a single day without being reminded of how much of a blessing he was. Kurt still wasn't into the whole 'Religion thing', but he was beyond grateful for the family he had been given. He had a loving husband and a beautiful baby boy that made him smile and laugh.
The movie started but Kurt didn't pay attention at all. He couldn't tear his eyes away from his son. Kurt smiled when ever he saw Harper smile at the TV screen, and his heart squeezed with joy when the three year old decided to rest his head on his Papa's chest. Kurt pulled him closer and held him tight. Blaine moved closer too and placed his arm around Kurt's shoulders, thus joining the cuddle fest.
The hour long movie continued in the same manner. When ever Harper would laugh at the TV screen, Kurt's heart swelled with happiness and love. When the movie was over, Kurt wasn't able to give a single detail about it. He was sad it ended though. He wanted to keep watching the happy boy. It was clear that Blaine felt the same.
"Alright. Time for bed." Blaine said as he got up off the couch and turned off the television. Harper groaned slightly and turned to look at Kurt.
"Don't look at me like that. I'm not going to fight him on this. It's late, off to bed." Kurt said teasingly as he looked to his watch and saw that it was only 7:30. His grin only grew when he saw the adorable pout that developed a moment later. Harper then jumped up and ran to his bedroom down the hall. Kurt shared a knowing and loving look with Blaine before he got up and followed after him.
Kurt walked into Harper's room and inwardly cringed. He had toys and clothes all over the floor and his bed sheets were hanging off the frame. His bright yellow room matched his bright personality nicely, but the messiness was a little out of place. "Did Daddy play with you in here?" Kurt asked, catching the young boy's attention as he dug through his dresser, throwing more clothes on the floor in the process, in search of some pajamas. He nodded enthusiastically.
"Yeah! We played trucks and trains!" He said happily as he pulled out a matching top and bottom pajama set with little dinosaurs on them. Kurt smiled at his clothing choice. Harper was everything Kurt and Blaine had wanted. He was a very typical boy that wanted to play with toy cars and transformers, but he also loved helping Kurt and Blaine pick out their clothes. He would spend hours if he could just picking the perfect tie for Daddy to wear to school or for Papa when he was needed for meetings at the fashion company he worked at. Kurt had even been told by Finn that when Harper stayed with Rachel, he loved to help her pick on and try on dresses.
"I'm very happy you and Daddy had fun, but you need to remind Daddy that he needs to clean up his messes when he's done." Kurt said, just loud enough that he knew Blaine would be able to hear him from the other room.
"Roger Roger!" Harper said with a laugh as he faked a salute. Kurt couldn't help but roll his eyes. Blaine needed to stop allowing him to watch his old METV shows."Papa? Help?" Harper said as he tried to take off the base-ball Tee he had on. He stopped trying when it got stuck around his forehead, leaving just his mass of dark curls sticking out the top. Kurt laughed softly and moved forward to help remove the shirt.
Once Harper was completely changed into his PJ's, Kurt took him across the hallway to the bathroom. He helped him brush his teeth, while also brushing his own. After Harper had finished his teeth and had gone to the bathroom, Kurt led him back to his bedroom and started to remake his bed. Harper tried to help a little but got bored quickly and started to jump on the bed, not really helping Kurt in the slightest.
"Easy there monkey, don't hit your head on the ceiling!" Blaine said jokingly as he walked into the room. Harper stopped jumping but didn't stop smiling. "Come on. Into bed you little monkey."
Kurt finished drawing up the blankets and tucked Harper in. Blaine moved around the bed and sat down on one side while Kurt sat on the other.
"Can you read story?" Harper asked around a big yawn that forced it's way out of his mouth. Blaine chuckled and moved so he was leaning against the head board next to his son.
"Of course! That's why I brought my IPad." Blaine said cheerfully. He quickly opened the tablet and began to search something. He smiled again when he found what he was looking for. "Ready?"
Harper nodded again and cuddled into Blaine's side. Kurt continued to sit at the edge of the bed and watch on with adoration. He was so happy that it was Blaine that he'd had a child with. Blaine started to read his story with a sing-song voice.
"Five little monkeys

Blaine smiled up at Kurt and saw the pure happiness that sparkled in his eyes. He looked back down at their son. "Good night Monkey." Blaine leaned forward and kissed his curly haired head before he got up off the bed carefully and backed out of the room. Kurt got up too and went to kiss his forehead on the other side. He tucked him in once more before following his husband out into the hall. After looking back in one more time, Kurt slowly closed the door.
