The cop who arrested me, wasn't the one who came to let me out. It was his partner. He led someone else in behind him. No a girl and not just any girl, That girl from my school Elisa? Ela? I like to mess around with at school. 'What the hell was she doing here?' She just stared at me cold and emotionless, but didn't make eye contact. The cop came over with the keys to the hand cuffs.
"Well kid, today's your lucky day. I don't know how a delinquent like you has a girl like her, but you're free to go." The cop said, turning his back to me.
"Thank you, Officer Jordan." Elsa said sweetly, "It was great to see one of the city's finest again." She smiled at him, graciously, while I just stared at her like she was an idiot.
"Oh no, darling," the officer purred. "The pleasure was all mine, but do me a favor. '"Yes?" I stared, dumbfounded. Was she that much of a goodie two shoes she even had the police wrapped around her finger?
"Try to keep your boyfriend out of trouble." He left the room, saying that over his shoulder.
"He's not my boyfriend" Elsa growled as I repeated at the same time but the guy had already left us alone.
"Pff, you wish." I smirked at her, she glared at me, disgust in her eyes, but the emotion disappeared quickly as it appeared.
"Save your dreams for when you're asleep," She walked out the door then stopped and turned back to face me. "You coming or are you gonna stay and piss the cops off more?" She snarled at me and continued to walk, I got up and followed her.
"So, how is it a girl like you has the pleasure of knowing the 'Finest officers of the city'." I said mocking her in a girly voice. To my disappointment, no reaction. She didn't say anything. She just continued to walk through the halls of the police station. I was a good 5 feet behind her, and I watched as she turned down different hallways without hesitation.
Picking up the pace, I caught up with her and asked, "What did he mean?"
"Oh, your still talking. Damn it." She said in a cold voice, " What did who mean?""That Gordon guy."
"Jordan." She corrected me,
"Whatever, what was he talking about when he asked how a delinquent like me knows a girl like you?" She didn't reply.
'Again! What's with this girl?' I thought, exasperated.
When she made it clear she wasn't going to say I thought I would get it out of her, I tried another tactic.
"What? Your daddy rich or something?"
Her eyes widened a bit. "N....that's none of your business." I smirked victoriously. 'Ok, now we're getting somewhere'
"So tell because I'm curious are you a daddy's girl?" I said, feeling my smirk grow wider. "Is that it? You walk around doing what he says and he gives you enough lunch money to buy a brand new BMW because you didn't like the color of the one he got you for your birthday?" She turned around. And I shrank back from the frosty look in her eyes..
"Listen, Mr.Overland," she snarled. "You called for someone to get you out, so you got me! So, I would think you would be grateful and stop being an ass and asking shit like that, because we both know its not true and also that you don't care. So, act like a mature person for once in your pathetic excuse of a life." I could practically feel the coldness on her breath as she whispered furiously. She watched me for a moment, a thousand negative emotion flitting across her face. Then without a word, she turned on her heels and walked to the front desk to talk to someone.
I just stood there like I was frozen, that was unexpected, but the lady on the other side of the desk next to me, unfroze me when she handed me my stuff from yesterday that they confiscated. Such as my wallet, watch, sunglasses, etc.
Once that was done I walked to the front to see Blondie walking towards the front door, and without thinking I run up behind her.
"Whoa! Wait Wait, why are you here? How'd you know I was even here?" I asked her as she stopped to open the door, but didn't look at me. She sighed before she answered.
"You know most people would say thank you, after someone spent the time and energy to get an ass-hole like you out of jail." She walked out the door and I followed her again, I don't like the feeling like someone has a leash on me, but I couldn't help it. I went into jerk mode.
"Say thank you? To an ice queen like you?" I scoffed "You haven't stopped once to answer my questions and you obviously can't wait to get away from me. Why should I thank someone who obviously doesn't want to be anywhere near me? No wonder you're an outsider." I don't know if she heard me, but she sped up. "Wait! Just wait!" I grabbed her arm and forcefully turned her around. Turns out, that was a very bad idea. Angry now, she twisted her arm out of my grip, grabbed mine, pulled my face right into her fist. My head snapped back as I heard the bones in my nose crack. I held my nose as the pain rushed to it. I groaned and bent over. 'That definitely wasn't was I expecting.' Especially from the nerdiest girl in my school.
"OH MY GOD, I'm so sorry," She sputtered, transforming into the nerd I knew. "you scared me an-" She paused. "Oh wait, it's just you," She sneered and just like that, her nice weak self was completely gone. She'd never reacted this way at school.
'Who is this girl? I thought, bewildered. Then my more promiscuous side spoke. And why have I never met her before?'
"What the hell?!" I yelled at her, my mind a jumble of anger, questions and pain.
"You know, I've been wanting to punch you since the first day I met you." She said cooly, shrugging her shoulders. "But if you really wanted to know that bad then here's the answer: Flynn sent me." She crossed her arms over her chest, and I then realized at the most unethical moment she was wearing skinny jeans that hugged her ass and thigh's just right. A blue blouse that was see through with a tank underneath that was riding up on her stomach. And... I raised my eyebrows. I could see her perfect looking curves. A cat-call echoed inside my head. But what really stood out was her crystal blue eyes that weren't covered (for once) by her thick ugly black glasses.
