As the weeks seemed to pass by, it seemed like her father and Victoria were starting to hang out more and more. Amanda hated it just as much as Daniel did. As Amanda was outside after school, playing in the sand before dinner time, she looked up surprised to see Daniel approaching her. "We need to talk." He said. "Why? I don't have anything to say." After the two of them started talking about their parents, they wanted to come up with a plan. A plan that would hopefully split them apart. Amanda smirked a little as she listened to Daniel's idea. "You know. I think we might be able to work something out after all."
After Amanda had gone in for the evening, she was quiet most of the night. Since she had visited with Daniel, she kept going over the plan. "You seem awfully quiet this evening." David commented watching her closely during dinner time. Amanda looked up and smiled. "I'm fine daddy." "You're sure? I was thinking it might be about Victoria. I know you won't like the fact of me seeing someone new Amanda. But I think once you get to know Victoria a little better, you might like her." Amanda looked at him. I doubt it. She thought. "I don't think she likes me." She said instead. David raises his eye looking at her surprised. "What makes you think that? Tell you what. How about this weekend, we take a day to hang out with her and Daniel. You two might change your mind about each other once you get to know one another." He smiled. "But Amanda. Do know this. I do care for Victoria. But I wouldn't ever take someone in knowing they wouldn't be able to handle or like you." She smiled a little. "I know daddy."
After dinner was finished, Amanda began her usual evening ritual to get ready for bed. Her and Daniel had plans for later to meet to see if they could find a plan to break up their parents for good. But she had to wait until her father was sleeping first. They always watched a movie together after dinner.
As the movie continued on, Amanda glances over at her father smirking as he began to drift off to sleep. Once she saw he was knocked out, she quietly gets up off the couch and sneaks outside to meet Daniel.
"So tell me, Amanda. What is this great plan of yours to split up our parents?" Daniel asked Amanda in a sarcastic tone as Amanda finally approached him. Amanda gave him a small grin. "What if we tried to make it look like one of them cheated on the other?" She asked slightly curious. It wasn't her true plan of course. But her other plan she had to keep a secret from Daniel. For she knew he wasn't going to like it as it would be quite dangerous.
Daniel raises his eyes a bit. "I like it. But who are we going to set up?" He asked looking at her. "Well. I was thinking Victoria." She said giving a small mischievous grin. Daniel bit his lip. "Why can't it be David?" Amanda sighed a little. "Here we go. Why shouldn't it be Victoria? It's not like anyone else is going to see the outcome. Your mother's precious status isn't going to be tarnished." She promised. Of course though Amanda was only ten, she could be very sneaky for her age. But perhaps she inherited that from her mother.
Daniel stayed silent a few minutes considering the options. He of course had his own idea. He would take Amanda's idea to use it against her and use the scandal to set up her father instead of his mother. "Okay. It's a deal." He said extending his hand to break the deal. Amanda grinned a little shaking Daniel's hand. "It's a deal. I should get back before dad finds out I'm gone." Amanda turned to make her way back to her house.
