"Wait.  Did I hear you correctly?  You're going on a date?  And with none other than the Daniel Grayson?"  David asked shocked when he had heard the news.  He had thought his medicine from the pain he was still having was making him hallucinate.

Amanda grinned.  "You heard me correctly.  Relax dad.  I don't plan on going anywhere near that family.  They're toxic remember?  I'm only doing it as part of my plan."  David closed his eyes sighing a little.  "Amanda..."  "Dad..  Please I need to do this.."

By the time seven o' clock came, Amanda was ready.  She had told Daniel she would meet him there as she didn't want to give him her real address.  Or he would know. He didn't like the fact that he couldn't pick her up.  But she was able to persuade him to let her meet him at the restaurant.  When she arrived and walked inside, she smiled a little as she saw Daniel already standing and waiting for her.

"You're looking quite lovely this evening Emily."  "You've cleaned up pretty good yourself sir."  Amanda teased.  She wasn't trying to be too flirty with him.  But for some reason it seemed to naturally flow.

As Amanda and Daniel had gotten seated, something caught her attention from the corner of her eye.  She turned a little pale and coughed a bit.  "Are you okay?"  Daniel asked looking at her with concern.  "Yeah.  Yeah I'm fine.  Can you excuse me for a minute?  I'm so sorry."  Amanda stood up leaving a confused Daniel at the table.

Spotting someone from her past, Amanda was worried they were here to ruin any chance of her revenge with Victoria.  "What the hell are you doing here?"  Amanda hissed at the man once she approached him.  "You're going to ruin everything!"

Queda looked at her with a small smirk.  "It looks like you're doing a fine job of that yourself miss Clarke."  He said in a stern voice.

"What is that suppose to mean!"  She growled pulling him around the corner so Daniel couldn't see them.  "What was the first thing I told you when you came to me for training?  Don't let anyone cloud your judgement..."  Amanda rolled her eyes glaring at the man.  "I haven't let anyone cloud my judgement.  He's part of my plan.."

"Really?  Because you two seem to be quite chummy.  I'd hate for all your hard work having to go to waste."  Amanda kept her glare on Queda.  "I have it controlled.  Now please leave.."

Once Amanda got rid of him, she made her way back to Daniel's table and sat back down feeling quite embarrassed for ditching him.  "I'm so sorry about that.  An emergency that couldn't be helped."  Daniel looked at her with concern.  "Is everything okay?"  He asked again.  "I'm fine.  It's just.  I'm here because of my dad..  He's sick and I needed to make sure it wasn't anything he needed."  She said lying straight to his face.  "I'm sorry to hear that.  Is there anything that I can do?"  "Thank you but no.  He's doing much better now and is just recovering.  My uncle is with him for now."

After the meal had been finished and paid for, Daniel escorted Amanda back outside to her car.  "I had a great time tonight."  He smiled.  She smiled back a little.  "I did too.  The most fun I had in awhile actually."  It was for once the one hundred percent truth coming from her.  She never thought she'd have this much fun with him.  But it was also a lie.  He didn't know who she really was.

"If you change your mind about being in town for awhile..." He stated.  She nodded.  "I know.  Good night Daniel.."  He watched as once again she got into her car and took off.

When Amanda got home, she opened the door and closed it behind her quietly.  She closed her eyes taking a deep breath.  Maybe Queda was right.  She had to distance herself from him.  To her it was supposed to be a fake date.  Or had started off as one.

"I take it your date went alright?"  She opened her eyes as her dad's question had distracted her thoughts.  "You're still up?"  She asked trying to avoid the question.  "Yeah.  I wanted to see how things went.."  David asked looking at his daughter curiously.

"They went fine..."  She said flatly.  "Goodnight dad.."  David smirked a little.  "That's all I'm going to get?  I don't get any details?"  Amanda whipped her head a little shocked.  "Dad!"  He laughed.  "Okay okay.  I get the hint...  Goodnight sweetie.."  Amanda smiled.  She hadn't heard him call her that since she took off.  She slowly approached closer to him and gently wrapped her arms around his neck like she used to when she was little to give him a hug.  "I love you daddy.."  She whispered.  It was almost as if things never had really changed.  David hugged his daughter tight taking a deep breath and closing his eyes.  "I love you too Amanda."  He whispered.  After a few seconds, they pulled apart and Amanda headed off to bed.
