It had been a couple of weeks since Amanda had been in the orphanage.  But as of now she wasn't too worried.  She knew her well thought out plans took time.  As it was a decent day to be outside, Amanda had decided to go outside to get some fresh air with the rest of the kids.  However, as she wasn't much one for chatter, she stayed at a distance watching them play instead.

"Is this spot taken?"  She heard someone ask her.  Amanda looked up surprised at first.  In the few weeks she had been here, nobody has made even an attempt to talk and become her friend.  She was certain that they all thought she was weird.  Amanda gave the girl her age a small awkward smile.  "Go ahead."  She said.  The brunette sat down on the grass next to the blonde.  Amanda could tell she wasn't the shy type at all.  "My name is Emily."  She said slowly extending her hand.  Amanda extended her hand to accept the girl's hand shake.  "Amanda."  She said giving her a small smile.

The two girls began to visit while they waited for Mrs. Lair's cue to bring them back inside.  Amanda was quite surprised to see how much she had in common with Emily.  And thought that they could become really great friends.

Before anyone knew it, the girls seemed to be inseparable.  But little did they know, that after the two girls found about each other's past, Emily had promised she would do whatever it took for to help Amanda escape.  They both would.  Together.

"Okay.  So you remember how we are going to do this?"  Emily asked whispering to her as they were both hiding behind one of the corner walls of the corridor watching for any onlookers.  Amanda smirked a little.  "Of course I remember.  Just as long as you play your part well.  I'll be able to get by with flying colors."

At Amanda's cue,  Emily quickly rushed down the corridor screaming bloody murder.  Amanda smirked watching the crowd of people gather around Emily to have her attention, then took off at a run. She almost stopped mid step almost believing it herself.  "No!  You don't understand!  I saw him!"  Amanda heard her yell at them as she exited the house.  Once she was at a safe distance, Amanda glances back one last time and grinned a little.  Their plan had actually worked.  "I'll come back for you Emily.  I promise."
