"But dad you can't! You can't allow that woman to move in here! What if she takes me back to the cuckoo's nest!" Amanda cried freaking out once she was told that Victoria would be moving in with them. David sighed. He knew Amanda wasn't going to like it. But he couldn't tell her his reasoning. "Look. I know that the two of you don't get along." Amanda gave him a hard glare, and for once he was quite worried at how his daughter was reacting. But of course he didn't blame her. After what Victoria did. She let out a small huff sound. "That is an understatement." She said in a bit of a sarcastic tone.
As time seemed to move along for the Clarke's, it was apparent that her dad wasn't going to make up his mind about Victoria anytime soon. Amanda knew she would have no choice. She was going to make a run for it.
As Victoria and David were out on another one of their many dates they've been having recently, Amanda began to quickly pack what she could into a small bag. She was going to go to her uncle's house to stay there. But she wasn't going to tell her dad that. She was going to let both of them suffer. She glances over at her doorway to see her dog Sammy giving her the sad puppy dog eyes. She sighed and went over to give Sammy a hug. "I know Sammy. But I can't stay here with that crazy woman.. I just can't. And dad doesn't understand. You can't come with me unfortunately." She heard a small whimper coming from the dog as if he understood what she said. She sighed a little. "I know. I'll miss you too. But you need to stay here with dad. He might need your protection from that bat more than I do."
Once Amanda was finished packing, she gave her dog one last hug goodbye. "Stay.." She commanded as she saw the dog trying to follow her. Once she was out of the house, she quickly made her way towards main street to signal for a cab. Once she got one to pull over for her,she made her way inside and buckled her seatbelt. The cab driver looked surprised to see such a young traveler. He cleared his throat a little. "Uh. Where to miss?" Amanda glances up and gives him the directions to her uncle's place.
Once the cab arrived at the address, Amanda grabbed her small bag and got out of the car approaching the door she gave it a few knocks hoping he would be home. A few minutes later, she heard the sound of the door opening and looked up to see a very surprised uncle. "Amanda. Sweetie. What are you doing here all across town?" Amanda took a deep breath. "I want to live here with you. I can't live with that witch!" Her uncle raised his eye slightly. "Woah. Who are you talking about. Come on inside." He motioned Amanda to follow him in, then closed the door behind the two.
He then made his way into the living room pulling out a chair for his niece to sit down. "Why don't you tell me what happened from the beginning.." Once Amanda was seated and comfortable, she took a deep breath. "She locked me in the insane asylum!" She hissed a little at him without meaning to. "Who Amanda. Who did? You're going to have to be more specific." "Victoria!" She yelled. "Who else!" Her uncle looked up at her in surprise. "I'm sure things just took a misunderstanding. Let me take you back to South Hampton." Amanda shook her head furiously. "No. I can't go back there. Please don't make me go back there. You don't know what she's like!" He sighed a little. "Amanda. I'm sure you're father is going to miss you and worry about you if he doesn't know where you're at."
"What the hell did you do to her Victoria!" David hissed to find his daughter gone once again when he came home. Victoria lifted her head up shocked at the accusation. "I don't know what the hell you are talking about!" She shot back. "Where is Amanda?" David asked gruffly. "She wasn't home when I got here."
David sighed and shook his head. "This isn't going to work Victoria if you aren't truthful, and obviously you aren't doing what it takes to reach out to her. I can't very well be with someone who can't care for my daughter the same way as I."
"What are you saying David?" "I'm saying. My daughter doesn't like you. She is very reasonable when it comes to judging people." He grinned a little seeing her shocked expression. He had obviously planned a huge public break up to get revenge and tarnish her status for what she did to Amanda. But this was almost just as good. "I beg your pardon?" Victoria snapped in an angry tone. "What is going on!" Victoria jumped and glanced over to see her son Daniel staring at them. "Daniel. Nothing is going on at all. Go back upstairs..."
"He has the right to know Victoria, don't you think?" David said in a dangerously threatening tone. Daniel looked at David in horror. "What do you mean?" He asked suddenly nervous around him. "Your mother ran Amanda off.." "Is she alright? Where did she go? Perhaps I can help to find her.." Daniel said, actually sounding concerned.
"Amanda. Amanda wait!" She heard her uncle's voice call after her as she rushed out the door again. He was going to send her back. She didn't want to go back. Not as long as Victoria would be there. As David continued to argue with Victoria, he heard the sound of his phone ringing. He glanced down to see his brother's number and quickly answered it. He had to have some news on Amanda. David's heart pounded fast as he answered. "Is she there? Is she alright?" "She was here. But she took off as soon as I mentioned bringing her back to you. I'm going out to look for her right now. David. What exactly is going on?" He asked as he slipped his jacket on to leave to his car.
