Erin's POV

This wasn't how I had pictured my wedding at all. I always had something small in mind just close friends and family, not that I had much family that would be there. But Jays family damn there was lots of them. I laughed to myself as I swayed in his arms, this day might not have been what I had imagined, but I wouldn't have had it any other way. I felt Jays lips touch my forehead as I slowly life's my head off of is chest, "What are you laughing at Mrs Halstead?" I laughed at the goofy smile on his face, "Nothing just thinking about how perfect this day has been." I smiled looking up at him. Jay planted a kiss on my lips and pulled me close. From the corner of my eye I could see other couples coming on to the dance floor. I felt like I had been there forever, enveloped in Jays arms, when really it had only been a few minutes, but these few minutes will be ones I will treasure forever.

Jay's POV

Could this day get any better, I was married to the woman of my dreams and surrounded by my closest family and friends, all the people in the world that mattered to me were here, except one but I knew she was here with me watching over, and that's all that mattered. It was already 11:30 and as Erin and I were joined by friends and family on the dance floor I could see how tired she was. Erin says that she wasn't really fussed about a big wedding but I knew that this day had meant a lot to her and that she was worried that things were gonna go wrong but as soon as my eyes spotted her walking down that aisle, nothing else mattered to me. As the song started to slow and end I took Erin's hand and walked her back to our table, "You look tired" I said as I cupped her cheek, "Let's hit the road" I kissed Erin on the head as she nodded in agreement. I went to get Voight to let him know we were leaving.

Erin's POV

I spotted Jay coming out to the hotel lobby as I came down the stairs he was hugging and joking with Will. As I got to the bottom of the stairs I placed my bags down at reception and said my goodbyes to everyone and thanked them all for coming as I was approached by Hank. He had the biggest smile on his face as he reached out and hugged me as he let go he kissed my head, " It's good to see you looking so happy kiddo" he stood back and squeezed my chin, "It's nice to be this happy" I said as Jay walked over and slung his arm round my waist. "You ready to get going?" He asked, I tilted my head up and nodded, just as we were about to leave we heard Hank call over our shoulders "See you bright and early on Monday Halstead's" he chuckled as he walked back inside. Jay and I laughed and shook our heads as we walked to the car, "Halstead's....hmmm that does have a nice ring to it" I grinned a big cheesy grin, the one that I seemed to save for Jay, "It does have a nice ring to it huh?" I kissed his cheek and got into the passenger side of the car. I really did want to drive but Jay made the very good point that I didn't know where I was going. But I had a feeling about where we are going, neither of us wanted to miss a week of work so we decided just to go away for the weekend instead, and I had a feeling that we might be going to Wisconsin, but I didn't say anything Jay. His face seemed to light up every time he spoke about going away this weekend and I didn't want to take that away from him.

Jay's POV

We hadn't been in the car that long before I looked over and saw Erin sleepy like a baby in her seat. Her hair was slightly messed up her knees semi bent up to her chest, with one leg mostly hanging down, her breathing was rhythmical and peaceful. I found it hard to concentrate on the road, In that moment Erin looked so content and happy. "Quit staring Halstead, we might be married now, but it's still rude" Erin chuckled from her seat. A hearty chuckle seemed to escape me as I continued to drive. "Jay" Erin whispered "hmmm" I replied "Today was...it's was perfect. I love you Jay" I flicked my eyes towards Erin and found that she was playing with her ring, "Erin" her eyes found mine "I love you too" I said as I planted a kiss on her hand. I heard her sigh in content as I turned back to the quiet road. A few hours later we arrived at the cabin in Wisconsin, I knew Erin would have known we were coming here, but I wanted to be close to my mum and I wanted to go somewhere I knew Erin loved. The last time we were here I proposed, so this cabin held a lot of memories for both of us. As I parked the car Erin was sleeping again, so I quickly jumped out of the car and unlocked the front door. As I got back to the car I could see Erin stirring in her seat, I opened the door and scooped her into my arms, she giggled and buried her head into my chest, "really Jay?" She asked whilst laughing "Well I could just put you down right here?" I questioned, as her grip tightened on my neck, "no no never mind" Erin mumbled into my shirt, I laughed and strengthened my grip on her again. I carried her over the threshold and into the cabin, and I made a mental note, "I will need to do this again when we get our own place."
