We are the elements,
She is fire,
And I am air,
She needs me to survive,
When I leave, I take a vital source of energy,
I steal the light from her eyes and she suffocates,
When she leaves, I am cold and invisible,
I am no longer heated by her flames or colored by ashes,
But were flawed, like every other thing in this universe,
I can't protect her from the beading water drops of thunderous rain storms,
And she can't stop the mountains and nature from stopping my path of breath,
And I can't hold her without her becoming out of control and overwhelmed,
And she can't hold me without eating me alive as fuel for her fire.
But we fight for a way,
I whisper her sweet nothings that travel with the wind,
She tells stories with a roar of an open flame,
She'll continue to bring the passion of rebirth and life,
And I'll continue to calm the chaos and keep the balance.
