"What?" He asked surprised. "I want..." I repeat, kissing him. "I said, I want you. Come back to me." I say looking at him, afraid of what he was going to say. His expression changed instantly and engulfed me into his arms. The hugs that I had missed so much was finally mine again. "I missed you." He said cupping my face into his hands. "I missed you too." I confessed wrapping my arms around his waist.
With our hands intertwined, we walk back to our table. The table went silent as soon as James and I stood over our seats hand in hand. "Are you fucking kidding me?!" Sarah said slamming her fist onto the table. "Sarah stop!" James barked warning her, the team watching in fear and fascination. "No I invested so much damn time on you, and I even have your mom's approval!!!" She yelled in anger.
James rolled his eyes, annoyed at Sarah's tantrum. "I'll pay for everyone's meal, and James and I are going to head out early..." I said giving James's hand a squeeze. "I AM SICK AND TIRED OF YOU THINKING YOU'RE SO MUCH BETTER THEN ME!" Sarah yelled at the top of her lungs. Even our private room couldn't handle her yelling, and our waitress came to check on us. "I'm sorry. We're fine, I'll pay for the meal and extra for the inconvenience." I say giving the waitress my card and saying another apology.
"Let's go..." I whisper into James's ear, embarrassed about what was unfolding. James nodded and wrapped his arms around my shoulder. Before I could defend myself, a hand yanked at my hair and I slam onto the floor. "Sarah!" I yelp as she continued to attack me. "SARAH!" James yelled in anger. The team got up from their seat attempting to remove Sarah from me. But I knew that because she was a female, they did not want to accidentally hurt either of us. "I've had it." I said flatly kicking her off of me
I stare at her as we stood in front of each other, the team now watching anxiously ready to pounce when needed. "I'm not playing with you Sarah... I warned you." I said taking a step closer to her. I grab her face with my hand and say, "Do not ever put your hands on me again. You are going to regret this night." My voice was dark because I knew now what I wanted to do. "You're family's company...is mine." I say looking at her angrily. "Expect a call from Lustre Industries." I say before leaving her to think about what she's done.
After getting my card from the waitress, James and I made our way to the parking lot. "Meet me at my house... okay babe?" I ask kissing James. Being able to call him that made me realize how much I've missed him. "I love you." He said kissing me on the lips sweetly. "I love you too." I say back giving him a quick hug.
As I began to drive home, I call Clara through my car's Bluetooth. "Hi Clara! I need you to make an appointment with Mr. Gonzalez." I said to her. She knew exactly whom I was talking about, "Yes ma'am." I thank her and pull up into my driveway. Instantly, I could hear my father yelling. "SHIT!" I say quickly running toward my house.
"DAD!" I yell as I see him standing over James, his anger circulate through the house. "No... Nadine you didn't..." My father said disappointed.
