Sean and his father shook their heads afraid of what my father can do. "Oh don't shake your head. You said my daughter 'paid extra' for what??" My father asked in a chilling voice as he walked over to Sean and his family. "Nothing sir. She didn't do anything sir." Sean said retracting his words from earlier. "Too late for lies son." My father said switching his attention from Sean to his father." Sean's father looked on in fear, afraid of what my father will bestow upon them. "Can I count on you to promise me that this will be the last time your son will harass my daughter?" My father asked kindly.

Sean's father pushed Sean forward and hissed at him to apologize. "I'm sorry sir. It will never ever happen again. I'm sorry Nadine." Sean said switching his attention from my father to me. "Apology accepted." I said with a small smile. "Alright, I will see you guys next time." My father said satisfied. "We shall treat you out to dinner next time Mr. Lustre." Sean's father said as he shook my father's hand before leaving.

"You too Mr. Gonzales and Sarah, you may leave." My father said exercising his authority. Silently, the both Sarah and her father exited the room. "Now... what do we do here." My father said taking a seat at the head of the conference table. "Look Ben, you know you're one of my closest friends... I didn't know this was happening." James's father said addressing my father by his first name. "Ron... I know you didn't know... And I also didn't want to mesh work and personal lives together... but she crossed a line." My father said referring to James's mother.

James stepped in and apologized for his mother. "I'm sorry sir. If I knew, I would have apologized earlier." My father waved him off, "This is not your fault son. Do you still want to marry my daughter?" My father asked causing me to blush. "Of course I do." James said looking at me, "I love her." Mrs. Reid's eyes grew in surprise.

"Alright." My father said letting out a sigh. "I can't do anything about this, I can see on my daughter's face that she feels the same way." My father said teasingly. "Is there an issue with that Mrs. Reid...?" My father asked focusing his sole attention on her. "I just... I don't know about this." She said rubbing her hands together. "MOM!" James said shocked that his mother did not approve of his decision. "I'm sorry you feel this way. I will make this clear... Our companies will not be merging even after the marriage." My father said looking at all of them one by one.

Mrs. Reid gasped, "What??" James's expression changed in anger. "Mom stop it!" he said in anger. "We understand. Anything that will make the kids happy." James's father said happily. "We're going to head out." I said taking James's hand. "Where are you two going?" Everyone asked in unison. "Out." I said with a smile kissing James on the lips lightly. My father and Mr. Reid let out laugh as we exited the room.

"I love you." I said as I drive toward a popular shopping area in the city. "Come into a store with me." I say parking my car on a curb. "We're going to go shopping?" He asked not excited. Swiftly, I pick three white dresses without his knowledge. "What do you wanna do after this?" He asks from a seat in the store. "Something memorable. Now it's time to get you something to wear." I said tucking the dress in the shopping bag. "I don't really need anything." He said looking around the store.

Not paying attention to what he was saying, I pick out an outfit that would compliment the dress that I had chosen. I quickly paid for the clothes. Before we got into the car, I pull James toward a café. "I. Um. I got this white dress... because today taught me a lot about how strong we've gotten." I start. His face turned into a surprised expression, "Will you marry me?" I ask getting on one knew. "Right now??" He asked as a crowd began to form around us. "Yeah." I say, my heart beating out of my chest. "YES!" He said lifting me up and spinning me.
