Chapter 13: Life Interrupted
I woke up to Ray's cell phone. He answered and said, "Here, it's for you." I took it from him and answered. "Hello?" "Gerard...it's Lyn-Z." She said in a worried voice. "Lyn-Z, what's wrong?" "I have some news." "What is it?" I said waiting for a minute then said, "Lyn-Z?" "I'm pregnant." I dropped the phone but I could hear Lyn-Z crying on the other end. "I will be right over." I said hanging up and giving the phone back to Ray. "Where are ya going?" He asked. "Lyn-Z needs me." I put on my jacket and ran to her house. I threw a rock and she came out the back door. I hugged her tight for the longest time. I began to cry, she was already doing so. "It's gonna be okay." "I am just happy that its your kid. I'm gonna keep it." "Good..." I said kissing her pale face. I wiped her tears with my hand and held her forever. On the way back to Ray's house I thought about what just happened. I never thought that I would ever have a child.I also never thought I would meet a girl like Lyn-Z.
