The game plan for this story is that I will be writing it in how my family celebrates Easter, I'm not gonna write in going to church because that's just hectic explaining it, but it will be mentioned. Anyways if it seems odd its for a reason, my family and I have a specific way we celebrate, I'll stop talking, sorry, contuine.
It wasn't like Vladimir for him to ask me to come over, usually it was me calling him a few days prior and asking him if I could come over a few days later, he would be hesitant at first asking if I was sure I wanted to come over and him saying that I didn't have to come, then it would evolve to an hour conversation of me practically begging to come over. Then he would agree for us hang out and he would set up a date a week after my initial proposal, saying how it would easier for him to finish up his work so we could spend more time together. Don't even get me started on wanting to stay the night. Anyhow, to say I was surprised was true, estastic that he asked me was my first feeling. So after we said our goodbyes and hung up I looked over at the clock and noticed I had about a good three hours before I had to make the drive up to his house, it was only ten o'clock but it took a good hour to get up there. Getting up from my seat on the couch I went upstairs to take a shower.
After finishing my shower and drying off I went to pick out an outfit, seeing as it was nice out I decided on a simple sundress. The dress itself was a light shade of turquoise with a pattern of violet polka dots, it was strapless but it was a little on the tight size so it wouldn't slide down in any movement I did, it went to my knees so I didn't see the need to wear stockings. Slipping on the dress I smoothed out the light wrinkles in it and smiled softly as I looked in the mirror, it did suit my figure well, not too loose yet not too tight. Getting out some eye shadow and mascara I went into the bathroom to put on the small amount of makeup, nothing too fancy just a simple shade of blue and gold. Putting away the makeup I slipped on some black flats, brushing my hair down I decided to leave it the way it was. After I finished brushing my teeth, I checked the time and saw that it was one o'clock, grabbing my keys and purse I left to Vladimir's house.
Arriving around two fifften I parked outside his house, its not really a house, it's more like a mansion but Vladimir calls it a house. It was a nice looking house, it was white but fadded so it had a rustic texture to it, there were big bay windows and French windows in an elaborate order, it truly was a beautiful house. Turning the ignition off and putting the keys in my purse, I stepped out and walked up the pathway, the gravel crunching underneath my black flats, knocking on the big wooden oak doors I waited. I took time to look around the area since I never really had time to do so, there was a small dead garden patch in front of one of the bay windows, frowning slightly I reminded myself to get some seeds and good soil, so the next time I come here I can plant with Natalya. I was pulled from my thoughts when the door opened and Leonas* stepped into veiw, his longish black hair was shading some of his face, but I could still see his dark green eyes peering through his hair. He smiled quickly and opened the door more for me, stepping aside.
"[Name], haven't seen you in a while." Leonas said, closing the door, not before taking a quick overview of the yard. Shrugging lightly I turned fully to him.
"I've been busy with work, for once." Chucking slightly he came over to me and placed his hand on my shoulder.
"Well we're all glad you came over, Vladimir has been more...angsty without you here." Pulling his hand from my shoulder as soon as we both heard footsteps coming down the hall. He leaned over some and whispered, "still don't see how you can date someone like him, freaking psychotic." Slapping his arm slightly I glared and shook my head disapprovingly just as Vladimir entered into the main room. Smiling softly I walked up to him and wrapped my arms around his neck and hugged him tightly, though I seem short to him I'm actually around 5'9, he wrapped his arms around my waist gently but securely, pulling me closer to him.
"Missed you." He mumbled softly into my hair, placing a light kiss there as well.
"Missed you more." I replied, placing a quick kiss on his cheek. We both pulled away, still standing relatively close to each other though, his hand holding onto mine.
"Leonas, go prepare dinner." Vladimir said, with a mumbling reply, Leonas left the room and into the kitchen. I looked up at Vladimir, smiling as he softly and quickly smiled back, it was a raritey that he smiled but when he did it was only for his little sister and I, sure it was quick and small but its about the little things in life that make it special.
"Can we go for a walk?" I asked after a few moments, he looked at me wearily for a few seconds before he nodded slightly and started walking towards the door, his hand still grasping mine. We walked outside and started a slow walk, our hands intertwined. Seeing as we had time before dinner was ready we took out time, going from the park to around the neighborhood. It was nice out, a few clouds here and there, it wasn't majorily warm, but nonetheless it was warm.Once we got back from our walk, Natalya was sitting on the stairs, playing with her hair. Natalya was Vladimir's little sister, she is very shy and soft spoken but once she gets to know someone she opens up some and sometimes you can't quite get her to stop talking. Her hair was a light blondish color, usually it was down which it was today, only she had a white bow in her hair. When she saw us come in she stood up and rushed over to us, a smile gracing her lips as she pulled her brother into a hug, her light pink dress whipping around her knees at her fast movements. Vladimir softly hugged her back, his arms going around her mid section of her back. After letting go of her brother, she turned to me and pulled me into a tight hug.
"[Name]! Its been so long since I've seen you!" Natalya exclaimed, chucking slightly I hugged her back.
"Nat, its only been a few weeks." I replied, letting go of the hug, she shrugged lightly.
"Well it feels longer." She said, taking me by the arm and pulling me along upstairs, presumably to her room per usual. Looking back at Vladimir I smiled softly, as if apologizing, he waved his hand some and walked to another part of the house. After being pulled down multiple hallways, we finally made it to Natalyas room. The bay window bringing light onto the white walls with pastel pink trimming, the white curtains fluttering about softly in the wind, drawn from the crack in the window. She sat me down on her baby pink bed, herself soon following pursuit.
"You know what today is right?" She asked and I shook my head, I was about to reply that it was May first but she beat me to it. "Its Easter silly...well Russian Easter. We came back from church a little over an hour ago." She smiled brightly, obviously giddy about this day.
"Isn't your Easter the same as the other religions?" I asked and she seemed to ponder the question at hand.
"Well yes, but we celebrate it on a different day and the church event is different than the others." I tilted my head to the side, intrigued at her statement and she seemed to sense it since she contuined. "You see, nwhen we go to church we get up early in the morning and we start walking around the Church while the priest splashes us in holy water, a lot of the girls get aching feet since we wear heels or flats. But its really fun!....at least I think it is." I missed and smiled.
"So is there anything else you do?" Again she pondered.
"Well...we usually have a really big dinner, and before that we pray for what we are thankful for and how blessed we are." I nodded again.
"Oh that sounds nice." I inquired and she nodded, her smile returning. We stayed up in Natalya's room for a few hours more until Leonas came up and told is that dinner was ready, with that we both got up and walked downstairs. When we arrived there was many different types of good on the table, ranging from borchst to beef stroganoff, in my opinion it seemed like too much to eat but otherwise it all seemed really good. As I sat down on the chair at the table, Vladimir entered the room and sat down next to me, his hand finding mine under the table. I smiled at him and quickly pressed my lips to his cheek, in return he squeezed my hand lightly, his thumb running over my knuckles softly. Ruslan** and Egor*** started serving Natalya, Vladimir, Katia****, and I. Then they served themselves. Vladimir's hand left mine just as everyone else sat down and they made a prayer motion, either clasping there hands together or just looking down, deciding to follow along I clasped my hands together in my lap, my eyes closed as Vladimir's gruff voice filled the room, I didn't understand what he saying since it was in Russian. After we finished and we all quotely said amen we began eating and Vladimir's hand returned to mine, I smiled softly as I ate.
Dinner went well, there was mimial fighting and some casual conversation, but other than that it went well. I was currently sitting on the couch in the living room, Vladimir sitting next to me with his arm wrapped securely around my waist, my head leaning on his shoulder.
"Thank you." He softly mumbled to me, placing a kiss on my head, I glanced at him.
"For what?" I asked, he sighed soflty into my hair and pulled me closer to him.
"For being here...I appreciate it." I smiled softly and looked at him fully, my hand cupping his cheek soflty as I leaned in and pressed my lips against his, his grip on my waist tightened as our lips moved in sync. Puling away some I whispered,
"Anytime." Pressing my lips back against his I kissed him slightly deeper than the last time, my hands reaching around and carding my fingers through his soft, brown hair.*Lithuania
