Fair warning this is going to be sad with a character death, sorry if you wanted a happy, fluffy one, but Boston came on and now I'm sad and in the mood to write, for once. Hope you like it anyways.

Alfred sat in the green, uncomfortable hospital chair, head held hanging low with tear stained cheeks. His vibrant blue eyes that were once filled with carefree joy and happiness, were now practically dead, all the life has been drained from him and replaced with sadness and resentment. His hair was taking on a greasy, unkempt look from his hand running through it hourly and from not leaving the room, even when the nurses begged him to leave, he stayed static, eyes glued onto the person in the bed. He hadn't been able to get sleep and when he was able to finally fall asleep only the images from the previous two weeks would appear, making him startle awake, breathing heavy and eyes wide with fear and tears, and when he looked at the bed he hoped it was all a dream, god how he hoped that it was a dream and not reality.

It was there one year anniversary together as a couple, Alfred wanted to go out for dinner and celebrate but Natasha wanted to stay in and order out, god how he wished he could take back his suggestion. It was a simple restaurant, not too crowded and the food was good, family oriented place too. They were enjoying their meal consisting of lasagna, French onion soup, rye bread and water since the restaurant didn't have a god selection of alcohol. It was fine at first, chatting, some death glares courtesy of Natasha and Alfred's terrible jokes, and sneaking in some quick kisses. He still couldn't get over how she looked, her knee length silver dress looked stunning on her, complementing her platinum blonde hair and purple eyes, she wore a black headband and some light blush to brighten up her face some and give it a lively look. As cheesy as it sounded, Alfred compared her to a goddess, even though she rolled her eyes and denied it, he wouldn't stop thinking that she was.
Natasha had gotten a phone call from her brother and stepped outside to answer it when the man came up to her, if she hadn't been distracted by her cellphone conversation, she could have easily put him down, but that didn't happen, the man was too quick, he pulled out a gun and shot her twice, once in the stomach and the other in the chest. Alfred saw this and quickly ran to her side, catching her in his arms and holding her close as he yelled out for someone to call 9-1-1. The tears didn't stop as they came rushing down, the sounds of her struggling to breath or even say a word mingilned with the sounds of his sobs and ambulance wails. He stayed with her in the ambulance and hasn't left her side since then.

His hand shakily reached for her pale, cold one, gripping it soflty he kissed her knuckles and let his lips linger there for a while longer, wanting to remember how she felt. He could still remember when they had met.Beep beep
It was seinor year of college, Alfred had thrown together a party for the day before graduation. Most of the seniors showed up, some straggling juinors and inexperienced freshmen as well. It was well, somehow Alred managed to get Arthur to come but when Arthur went somewhere his brothers followed to embarss him in any way possible. Ivan showed up as well, with him so was Natasha, Katyusha stayed since she graduated two years ago and held a steady job as a Veterinarian back in her home country. Alfred had seen Natasha before but rarely spoke to her since she gave of a weird vibe, but on that night he knew, he knew that this girl was someone he never wanted to let go of.
Beep beep
As the steady beeping got slower, the hold on her limp hand grew tighter as tears streamed down his cheeks in a steady flow, as his eyes locked with her pale face.
"Nat.....I'm gonna miss you so much...you were the best thing to ever come into my life and I'm... I'm so glad I got to spend this year with you...you made me the happiest person on this planet.... I'm never going to forget you....no matter who... Who comes into my life...they'll never make me ad happy as I was....was with the you..... I love you so much...please don't ever forget that." Gripping her hand tighter as the beeping went to a steady beep, sobs raked his body as he held her hand to his face, his eyes closed tightly as the only person who ever truly cared for him slipped away.Is it bad I'm crying? I'm so sorry for writing this. Hopefully you liked it though.
