Erens POV
I made my way down the familiar streets and alleyways to get to my destination as the sun sunk slowly through the sky.
I couldn't shake the feeling someone was watching me the whole time, though every time I turned, I was faced with thin air and a creeped out feeling.

The walk from the Scout Regiment was far longer than the walk was from my apartment, but I didn't mind. This place was a comfort, and I was in huge need of a comfort right now. After my fight with Levi I felt empty, hollow. Everything that held life and colour in my dead, pale body had been drained as if some sort of emotional plug was pulled. Spewing all my feelings out at once, leaving an empty aftermath.
As I approached the tree where my mother was buried I heard a snap from behind me. My head spun so fast it could've came right off.
"Here kitty kitty" I said holding my hand out to show I was friendly, even though I was almost certain that it wasn't a cat, the thought made me feel better.
No response.
I sighed and walked away, feeling someone's presence and hearing their heartbeat. I knew they were there, so if they attacked me, well, I would be more than ready.

Staring at the sky is more fun than you would think. Watching as an orb of gas so far away trudged slowly through a vast field of blue. so bright it could blind you. The further it goes, the more darkness follows. Trailing behind the sun like an obedient puppy, fading from yellow to light blue to dark blue to indigo before falling into utter darkness.
As the sun disappeared beyond the horizon I sat down beside my hand-made wooden cross, we couldn't afford anything more, though I knew mom wouldn't care about the grave marker, and I know she is happy where she is buried. She always loved the sunsets.
I sat down and leaned against the rough bark of the old tree and shut my eyes. Letting the soft breeze toss my hair around. I opened my mouth and started singing. Singing a song that was full of a painful past, painful present, and a hopeful future. My first song to be published. My first song to open up a whole new life.
A whole new me.

After I had finished I opened my eyes to be greeted with a sky that had become completely dark. Though with my vamp senses I could see perfectly. I preferred the dark anyway, it felt nicer on my skin, where the sun burned, the moon soothed.
A twig snapped. Shattering the fragile nights silence.
"Who's there!" I called out towards where the sound had come from. An abandoned barn stood like a fortress in the middle of the moonlit field about fifty feet away. I heightened my senses to see if I could pinpoint their location and pounce before they had noticed.
I opened my ears. The soft whisper of wind blowing through the long golden grass. The soft rustle of animals and insect digging around in the earth underneath me. An erratic heartbeat filled the broken silence with the quick paced thump of blood pounding through their veins. And soft breaths caught on the wind, along with snoring...
I opened my nose. The scent of wood and grass and dry soil was what initially filled my nose, but there was something else. Artificial lilac scent was there as well. I recognized it, but I didn't know where from. The smell of body's, blood, flesh and bone, it smelled revolting with the sweet smell of blood, quite an odd mix may I tell you.
My eyes couldn't tell me much that I didn't already know, but I opened them anyway, knowing that they were red due to my use of power. I scanned the horizon, looking for anything I might have missed. Nothing.
I knew the person was here so I decided to scare them into showing themselves.
"I can hear your fucking heartbeat!" I yelled in anger. "Show yourself!"I called toward the rotting barn. I feared that somebody knew about me and was here to capture me. Experiment on me. A figure emerged. I prepared myself to kill, I was not about to turn into a lab rat. I looked closer at the figure. Short, with the stature of a man who worked out. The attractive black hair swaying softly in the wind. I could see his grey eyes reflecting the moonlight like ponds of liquid silver. In that moment I could truly say that he was beautiful.
His eyebrows were raised in a manner that showed he was sheepish and slightly scared, I hoped my eyes weren't still red.
"Levi" I said to the beautiful silhouette that stood now about ten feet away from me. He saluted me in a sarcastic way before lowering his warm, living hand back to his side. I waled in his direction with the full intention to wrap my clod arms around his smaller body and passionately smash my lips against his in a form of apology when I remembered to use my senses. Another, more distant heartbeat. And snoring.
My plans were postponed.
"Who's the second heartbeat?" I asked with concern. I saw Levis face and knew that he just mentally face palmed before he answered with and exasperated sigh.
"Hanji" He said simply. I frowned. Saddened that I couldn't do the things I wanted with Levi because another person was here. He must have read my mind.
"She knows" he said simply, he didn't even need to say what exactly she knew about, I already knew what he was talking about. I looked towards the barn which Hanji was hidden behind and back at Levi who looked at me with unguarded expression. One look at his face and I couldn't do it anymore.
"I don't care" I said as I grabbed the front of his shirt and pulled his unsuspecting body to mine.

QOTD: Do you do art as like a constant hobby?
AOTD: Yup, it's not the best but I do anime drawings because I suck at drawing realistically.
Hope you enjoyed?
