Erens POV
Days passed as the concert rapidly approached, and I will admit, the nerves were starting to get to me.
Erwin had given me a set list of 17 songs that he had stolen from my desk back home. He had shoved them at me and told me to practice, its not like I wrote them or anything...
So we gathered the band up and we practiced. We practiced in the morning, we practiced in the afternoon, and we practiced into the late hours of the night.
And in all that time, I didn't share a single word with my manager.
The air between us had become tense and awkward. I don't think any of us know what happened that night or why it even happened. Our interactions consisted of him watching out practices with a trained eye for music. His cool grey gaze made me the slightest bit uneasy, but all in practice for a concert right?

Right now we were in our beloved practice room where so much of our time is now spent. We were working on the 12th song on out set list called 'Paper Pain' It's kind of depressing and slower than most of my other songs, but that is what makes it one of my favourites. Erwin has also taken time to publish this song along with a couple others that we have already recorded, so the general public shield know this one by the time our concert hits the air.
Sasha and Armin looked at me, silently asking if I was ready to start. I nodded and checked the strap of my guitar, steadying it.
I took a breath and started saying the words delicately, as if they were glass about to break. Paper about to rip. I unconsciously stung chord after chord on the guitar, flowing together in a beautiful melody. I opened my eyes for the first time since starting.
Everyone looked so exhausted. No denying I was too. We have been working nonstop for the past 3 days and we really needed a day off. Out fatigue was definitely starting to show. Armin weakly hit the keyboard with a glazed expression. Sasha hunched lazily over her drum set, hands not working as quickly as they usually do. Even Mikasa had bags under her eyes, and she was a fucking vampire. If we kept going at it like this, we were going to collapse onstage in exhaustion. That wouldn't be good for us or the company.
Erwin and I needed to have a chat.

Practice had ended and it was dark outside when I decided now would be as good a time as ever to ask Erwin about a break for the team. The only thing was, I didn't know where his office was.
I pulled my phone out of my pocket and called the one person I expected to know everything.
"Hanji"
"Eren!" A feminine voice replied enthusiastically. I sighed deeply at her unusual energy.
"Do you know where Erwin's office is?" I asked tiredly with a yawn.
"Yeah! It's on the first floor, room 7" I smiled, I loved how she knew everything about everything.
"Thanks Hanji!" I said into the phone happily.
"It was absolutely no problem!" I smiled and closed the phone. Hanji always managed to do that, no matter my mood.

I followed her directions and headed to the main floor to find my boss.
I went to the front desk to ask where I could find room 7, a security guard named Eld pointed me down a hall on my right. The heavy door was shut, yet I could still hear the... odd sounds from within.
That kinky son of a bitch.
I wonder who he was getting it on with?
I knocked.
Silence, silence and a zipper.
I almost gagged. God Erwin what the hell.
The door was opened by a tall bulky blonde with unusually disheveled hair. His cheeks were red and his tie was loose around his neck. Not to mention the purple forming a of a hickey poking out from his white collar.
"What is it Eren?" He said, his words were slightly out of breath.
"My team needs a break" I said, not-so-discreetly trying to see the culprit of his current state, but he ever so slightly shifted in front of my vision.
Bitch.
"Ok" That's all I got before the door was shut in my face. How rude. I rolled my eyes and went back the way I came. I started on my way to the elevator, but reconsidered and made my way to the door, checking first to make sure I had my identification card. I did. Thank god.

I walked outside, took one breath of the cool,, crisp air and immediately knew what I wanted to do. Spray paint. Last time Levi and I did it, we hid the duffel bag in an alley behind a trash bin near the bar. I hope it is still there. I opened my water bottle from where it dangled from my hand and took a swig of the red liquid. Ot energized me for the move that was about to come.
I sprinted. Full speed. All the way to Levis bar.
When I got there the golden lights from inside spilled softly onto the sidewalk. I tried my best not to search for Levis face among the humans in there, but I couldn't help it when my eyes landed on his raven hair serving what looked like the receptionist from floor four. Peta? Perry? Pena? Petra? Something like that. Whatever, none of my business anyways.
Actually, some ODM gear would be helpful. Maybe if I could slip into his living room window and slip out unnoticed...
I made my way around back where a rusty fire escape ladder sit against an equally rusty catwalk. It was obvious that he never used them. So I simply didn't bother with them, it would make to much noise anyways.
So I jumped. An entire story and landed lightly on the creaky catwalk. The window was right there so I tried opening it. Locked.
I noticed one of those latches that you find on the windows in houses that are built in the 1900's. I've seen a few cop shows with these kind of locks, they were easy. A credit card or something.
Shit.
I didn't bring my wallet.
Abort mi- wait. I reached into my jacket pocket and pulled out my ID card for the Scouting Regiment HQ. I grinned and slipped it in the crack, silently popping the latch.
Bingo.

QOTD: What country do you live in?
AOTD: Canada, all the moose and beavers... actually, I don't think I have ever seen a wild beaver... or moose, but I have seen signs of them.
Hope you enjoyed!
P.S. the next chapter will be in Erens POV again...
