Calum finishes preparing the sandwiches, walking from the kitchen to the connected living room. Michael is curled up on the couch, half-asleep, a blanket covering everything except his nose and above.

Calum coos, cuddling up to Michael and wrapping an arm around his torso. Michael nuzzles into his husband, taking a bite of the sandwich that is being held up to his face. Calum chuckles, taking a bite of his own sandwich.

Pokemon plays on the screen. It's a nice day, Calum notices. It's sunny and they left the windows open to let in the nice summer breeze. The curtains rustle with the wind, blowing a few strands of hair on Michael's face.

Calum gazes at his boyf-husband, he corrects himself, filling up with love for the boy until he feels like exploding.

"I love you. So fucking much, Michael. I love you so much."

Michael turns his head up to meet the Kiwi boy's eyes. He smiles gently. "I love you, too, Calum, don't forget that."

Calum nods, leaning down to kiss his husband.

He loves that word.

Especially when referring to Michael.

They continue to kiss, Calum leaning back and pulling the rainbow-haired boy on top of him. He sets the sandwiches on the coffee table and they just make out on the couch like old times.

But this time, they're husbands.

They have everything.

And they have a kid.

Calum smiles into the kiss, so glad he could finally have a kid with Michael. They've been dreaming about it, ever since they were wild and stupid teenagers.

They break apart. "What are you thinking about?" Michael whispers, searching the raven-haired boy's eyes.

"You. My husband. Our beautiful Adrian. Michael, I can't believe we have all this now." He gestures to the house. "I mean look. We have everything we've ever dreamed about."

Michael nods, savoring the moment. He smiles, pecking his husband's lips again.

"Well," Michael starts. There is... one thing."

Calum raises his eyebrow at Michael. "What's that, darling?"

"Um, I've always wanted a kitten." Michael looks up with hopeful eyes. "Please, Calum? I know Adrian wants one, too," he begs.

Calum hesitates. He's always said no in the past, but maybe now... Maybe now that everything is going good, better than great, it might actually be a possibility. His face softens, "I think we can, Michael."

Michael's eyes light up. "Really?"

"Nah, I'm just messing with you."

Michael pouts and hits Calum's chest.

"Ow! I was joking! Mikey, I'm sorry. I would love to have a kitten with you." He smiles as Michael narrows his eyes.

"And you aren't just messing with me?"

"And I'm not just messing with you." He says, pulling themselves closer together under the blanket.

Michael giggles against Calum's lips. "Good because I told Adrian you already said yes."

Calum's eyes widen, "Michael! You did not-"

"Hi dads! I'm home!"

Michael laughs and wiggles away from Calum's grasp. "In here, Adrian!"

Adrian walks in, sliding his bag off his shoulder and into the floor, wild brown hair wind-blown, green eyes staring at his cradled arms.

Michael stands up, padding over to his son and cooing at the blanketed bundle.

Calum watches them, currently angry but only slightly because he always secretly wanted a pet, but would've preferred a dog. They could talk about that later, though.

Calum huffs and stands up, walking to the two people he loves most in the world. He stands behind Adrian, looking at the small kitten in his arms. It's black with white paws and a white star on its forehead. It looks up at Calum with wide blue eyes.

Calum softens and reaches to scratch behind the cat's ear, causing it to purr.

Adrian looks up at his raven-haired dad, making his eyes big and his bottom lip jut out. (He has Calum's lips.)

"Can we please keep her, daddy?"

Calum drops his hand to his side, sighing. "I don't know, I-"

"Please! I promise to take care of him. Dad already said he would help and that you said yes. I already know what to name her, too!"

Calum smiles, "And what's that?"

Adrian grins, looking down at the kitty and petting her back. "I couldn't decide between Mali and Koala so I'm naming her Mali Koala. It's like auntie Mali's name!"

Calum chuckles, looking to Michael.

The rainbow-haired man smiles, "I think it's a beautiful name." He looks to Adrian who is looking at Calum again. Then he smirks. "Please daddy?"

Calum almost chokes on his own spit, Adrian soon joining in in the pleading. "Please!"

Michael holds in his laughter at Calum's flustered expression.

"Okay fine! But-" he starts before they can cheer in victory. "You will be taking care of her and feeding her and training her. She's your responsibility now, Adrian." He says sternly, setting his hand on the young boy's shoulder.

"I will, Daddy, I promise! Thank you so much!"

Calum smiles as Adrian hugs them both, running off after yelling, "I love you, Dads!"

"We love you, too!" They yell back.

After he's out of sight, Michael bursts out laughing. "You should have seen your face!"

"You're such a butt!" Calum laughs, attacking Michael with tickles. They both keep laughing when Michael falls onto the couch and continues being tickled.

Calum litters his face with kisses, still tickling Michael, both grinning and laughing all the while.
