Luke collapses on his hotel bed, pulling his beanie down over his tear-stained face. He wiggles out of his too-tight skinny jeans and replaces his shirt with a soft flannel, untucking all of the blankets to wrap around himself.

He feels like a fucking idiot- he never meant to ruin anything, he's just clumsy.

He wraps himself tighter in the warmth, taking off his beanie and hiding his head under the blanket.

Just before he falls asleep, he almost chooses not to stick his head back out to breathe.

When Luke wakes back up, he has a headache and everything crashes back on him.

Only a few tears fall before he tells himself that he's done crying about it. It's over and done with.

He pulls out his phone and immediately taps on YouTube. He's met with his favorite escape that's become his reality.

Cal and Ash. They're the perfect couple to make Luke happy.

He remembers watching a video of theirs titled 'How Not to be Lonely' a long time ago, and he'd like to go back there now. Cal and Ash are some of the most understanding people, their videos ranging from personal, to happy, to gaming, to bringing back old challenges, to offering advice, etc.

"Hiya, babes!" Ash exclaims, waving at the camera. They look off to the side and smile.

Cal jumps into the frame, "Heyyy!"

Ash giggles and it jump cuts to them kissing, then again to them sitting next to each other on the bed.

Luke watches, laughing at their little skit and how lovely of datemates they are.

After their skit, Ash talks about how it felt finding out they were agender. They felt alone for a while, because they had no one to turn to, and then the cheesy romance ensues.

Basically Cal had seen Ash crying at the movie theatre and offered to buy them popcorn. Cheesy romance progresses.

Now they're making YouTube videos together in a wonderful home. Cheesy romance never ends.

Luke absolutely loves their story and would like one of his own. It's later when Luke is watching their 'First Time' video that he has an idea.

He pauses the video, uncurling himself and stretching.

Luke bites his lip, closing his eyes for a moment. He rolls over and sighs, sitting up and letting his hand rest on the hotel phone.

"Dial 0 for the desk," the boy who checked him in had said.

Luke had barely been able to see the teen through his tears, but he remembers a blurred purple color in his hair.

Maybe he would make a good friend. Hopefully he was still working.

Luke holds the phone and clears his throat, shaking his head. He struggles with his bag, dragging the water bottle from it and taking a few gulps. It's warm, but it's better than hotel water.

He grimaces, finally sitting back against the headboard and convincing himself to pick up the phone once again.

Luke dials 0, mentally shrugging to himself, because whatever happens happens.

"Hello, this is the front desk, how may I help you?"

Luke's breath hitches, because, yeah, this is definitely the boy, and he really hadn't thought about what he was going to say.

"Hello?"

"Um, yeah, m-my name's Luke..."

"Nice to meet you, Luke. What would you like?"

"W-well, we already met, but, yeah," Luke facepalms. What the hell is he doing?

"Do you need anything?" the boy repeats, and Luke notices that he's still being kind rather than annoyed. That kind of baffles him.

"I kind of need to not feel so lonely," Luke replies quietly.

The guy doesn't say anything for a few seconds, then, "Do you need someone to talk to?"

Luke nods, filling with relief, then sighs, "Yeah."

"I'll tell you what," the boy begins, "my shift ends in about 7 minutes, so if you'd like to, you can come down and we can talk. No offense, but I don't feel comfortable going up to your room when I have no clue who you are."

Luke chuckles weakly, his eyes shining. "Yeah, that sounds good. Thanks."

"And my name is Michael, by the way."

Luke smiles, "Cool. See you at midnight, Michael."

Luke doesn't even bother trying to look presentable. He just throws some comfortable sweatpants and vans on, covering the mess of his hair with his beanie.

He rides down the elevator one floor to the lobby, fiddling with his phone but never actually turning it on. The blonde wonders what this teen could be like, and thinking back, he was kind of pretty.

The elevator dings softly and the doors open. Luke steps out, smiling politely at a lady walking by.

Luke makes his way to the front desk, peeling his eyes for a purple head of hair. Michael must be clocking out, so he walks to the long window.

The first snowflakes fall into the night, street lamps illuminating each unique one and reflecting off the window. Luke smiles, resting his forehead against the cold, pressing his palms to the glass.

"It's beautiful, yeah?"

Luke startles, looking beside him and wringing his hands in front of himself to warm them up. A young, pretty boy stands in front of him, tugging on a sweatshirt. Luke nods, turning back to look outside. He suddenly worries about his appearance, subtly fixing his flannel's buttons.

Michael smiles, and Luke melts. "So, Luke, you're lonely. What's your story?"

Luke shrugs, "It's tragic."

Michael hums. "I love tragedy. You know, Romeo & Juliet."

Luke smiles then, shaking his head. It's silent for a few moments before he speaks up. "Hey, it's Christmas tomorrow, have anyone to spend it with?"

Michael shakes his head, "It's tragic." He looks to Luke and smiles crookedly.

Luke bites his lip, trying to contain his own smile. "I could learn to love tragedy."

And if Michael ended up in Luke's arms that night, and in the morning stole his flannel, well, their kids had their own cheesy love story to grow up hearing.

Happy holidays!!! Have fun celebrating whatever you celebrate! Tell me about it if you'd like :D

I dislike the ending to this lol

I know I said I'd try to have one shots for all the ships ready by today, but that didn't happen. I got two and a half done, oops. I'll extend it to New Year's and maybe after that. I'm bad at scheduling lol.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy the two I have done! Love ya!
