Hey everybody (pun intended). So I like to write 5sos fanfiction and my friends told me to make a new book so... This is what happened. This first one is Mashton :-D
-
"Michael?" I ask, gripping his pale arm. "What's wrong?" He had started to act funny, all sweaty and nervous for some reason. Sure, we were all about to go on stage, but Michael was never this nervous. He was usually excited and trying to get us pumped up. Now, he just looks like a trainwreck.
Luke and Cal were off doing their own thing, seeing as we had about ten minutes before the show.
So it left just Michael and I in the dressing room.
I turn him around to look at me, but he immediately snaps his head down, playing with his fingers. When there's no answer, I move my hand up to his chin and gently lift his head. "There's those beautiful eyes," I whisper.
A corner of his mouth turns up the slightest bit, but instantly vanishes. "Mikey? Are you okay?" I ask, furrowing my eyebrows.
His eyes instantly fill up with tears, his pink lips trembling. His voice cracks as he tries to speak, but his words are incoherent.
"Oh, no," I whisper, gathering him up in my arms and hugging him tightly to my chest. I feel his body begin to shake as he throws his arms around me, gripping my shirt in the middle of my spine. His body shakes horribly as I run my hand through his soft hair. "Shh," I say into his ear, over and over again, "it's okay to cry. That's it, baby."
"A-Ashton," he chokes out.
"Shh, baby, just breathe." I soothe, in a voice much like a mother comforting her child. "Michael, love, it's okay. Everything will be okay."
I can feel his tears staining the back of my shirt and his hot breath on my neck, but I don't care. I just want to know if my little kitten is okay.
After a few moments, his sobs die down and he's just sniffling. I pull away to look into his now red-rimmed eyes. "What's wrong, Mikey?" I ask again.
He takes a few noticeably deep breaths and rubs at his temples. A hand drags through his hair, tugging at it in frustration. "It's okay to be gay, right?" He asks, catching me off-guard.
Startled, I stare at him, "Mike, of course it is. You know I am, and you said you are. Who told you it isn't okay?" I hope the fear and confusion aren't evident in my voice.
He closes his eyes and puts his head down a second time, "J-just some people on Twitter...and Instagram...Facebook, too." His voice is quiet, almost inaudible.
"Michael, what did they say?" I take his hands in each of mine.
He sniffles, on the verge of tears again. "Th-they called me nasty names, that I should kill myself and burn in hell. There's so many more- terrible things, but I don't feel like repeating them. Ashton, it hurts." He breaks down again, suddenly crumpling to the ground.
"Oh, sweetie," I say, catching him, sitting and pulling him to the wall with me. I sit him in between my legs, pulling him as close to my chest as possible. Running my fingers soothingly through his blue hair, I lean down to kiss the top of his head. "I'm so sorry." I take a deep, shaky breath. "Michael, you know they're wrong, right? Don't ever listen to them when they say things like that, because they don't know how absolutely amazing you really are. They just have their own issues that they don't know how to handle, so they take out their emotions on other people. Only listen to the loving and compassionate ones, because they're the ones that matter. Just be the best You you can be, and don't let anyone tell you that who you are isn't valid. You're the most beautiful and most wonderful person I know. Being gay does not define a person. I'll love you know matter what, and so will Calum and Luke. Darling, words can't describe how much I love you."
Michael's crying into my chest, but I can tell they're happy tears, so filled with emotion, because he keeps whispering things like, "Thank you," and "I love you," over and over again, his lips pressed to my chest.
I smile, tears slipping from my own eyes at the thought of Michael feeling happy again.
"Mikey?" I cautiously whisper, watching him look up at me with his bright green eyes. "Are you okay now?" I push a strand of stray hair that had fallen into his eye back behind his ear.
He smiles slowly, standing up. He pulls me up with him and suddenly crashes his lips to mine.
I grin, absolutely thankful for the most beautiful boy I have ever had the pleasure of holding in my arms.
I wrap my arms around his waist and pull him close, him tangling one hand in my hair and the other slung over my shoulder.
I smirk when he pulls away, panting softly. "So I'll take that as a yes, then?"
He laughs, "Yes, of course, thank you, Ash. I-I love you." A blush rises on his cheeks and I can't help but to grin cheekily.
"I love you, too."
Before I can pull him in for another kiss, we hear clapping and see the other two walking towards us. "It's about time!" Luke yells, slapping me on the back.
Calum chimes in, "We've been rooting for you guys since the beginning!"
I chuckle, pulling Michael into my side protectively. "Showtime, boys," I announce, smiling at each of them. We had already brushed our teeth earlier, so we were properly prepared.
Looking down at Michael fondly, I ask, "Ready, love?"
He smiles up at me and nuzzles my cheek with his nose. "As long as I'm with you."
