I woke up on the couch to hear music and feet dancing on the hardwood. I opened one eye socket, seeing Toriel dancing with Papyrus. They managed well, but still stumbled from time-to-time.

"OH SANS YOUR AWAKE!!" Papyrus called happily, I just nodded showing a tired grin. They ended their dance and came over to me, well paps did, Toriel just kinda stood back a bit. "What Happened Yesterday?" He asked me, I shrugged

"Was nervous, I guess." I stated plainly, papyrus gave me a disapproved look, I smiled

"Sans. We both know that was a lie." I sighed in defeat

"Yeah... Sorry paps, I can't tell you." Papyrus looked hurt momentarily before sucking it up and plastering a smile onto his face "what day is it?" I asked wearily. Both gave me confused looks,

"The eleventh of February?" I nodded and smiled sheepishly "why do you ask?"

" err, no reason" I waved them off, they both exchanged glances before Toriel spoke up

"Sans? Is it because of that human you said is coming?" I froze and gave her a silent glare, she looked at me confused. Papyrus' eyes widened

"W-What was that?!" He screeched, Toriel flinched momentarily and turned to him

"Uh, the reason I left the ruins, because sans told me about the human coming..." Papyrus lit up and didn't say anything. I gave a silent 'shit' and ran towards the door. Toriel stood in confusion. Papyrus then bolted to the door and quickly made his way to the ruins door. I growled under my breath and teleported to the door. I hid behind the trees and waited for the door to open.

After a long while it did. A girl stepped out, I was extremely confused, because it wasn't frisk... She had long brown hair reaching her mid-back, she looked around fear and and wonder shining in her blue-bell eyes. I couldn't do anything, I watched as she calmly walked down the way. When she got to the stick she looked down at it and walked passed it. That was my cue, I stepped out and stomped on the twig, snapping it loudly, letting the sound echo around us. She stopped. I teleported back to the tree's to hide. She turned around to look back, and I saw a sense of panic form on her face, she whipped back to the other direction and speed walked, borderline running.

There was a line of trees and I walked past them, so she could see me but only as a silhouette. Her eyes widened and she sprinted to the bridge. I chuckled lightly and watched as she stopped to look at the bars. Slowly, I walked towards her, taking agonizingly slow steps towards her. Each loud crunch of snow beneath my slippers she tensed slightly, and froze.

"H U M A N ." I began, I saw she was shaking, and my grin faltered but I held it up once again "D O N T Y O U K N O W H O W T O G R E E T A N E W P A L ?" I readied the whoopee-cushion and she turned slowly and shakily. I held my hand out, she took it and a loud fart noise echoed around us. Her face twisted, I expected an annoyed or disgusted face but got a  smile and a small laugh. That helped, I smiled back and took my hand placing it in my pocket. "old whoopee-cushion in the hand trick. it never gets old" I grinned "so your a human right? that's hilarious." She looked confused for a second before her cheeks turned pink slightly and glanced away.

"I-I'm Crystal..." She mumbled, barely audible,

"i'm sans, sans the skeleton."

"Hello Sans!" She smiled, I nudged her on ahead to the bridge

"you can cross, my brother made the bars to wide to stop anyone... speaking of my brother... he'll be here soon..."

"Is he bad?"

"haha no. quite opposite. my brother is a big softy" the worry on her face melted and she crossed the bridge. I head loud footsteps in the distance, so I knew pap was getting close "quick get behind that conveniently-shaped lamp" I grinned pointing to it. It was weird... It was even shaped like her sitting on her legs, unlike before it was shaped like frisk. Soon Papyrus was stomping towards us.

"SANS?! HOW DID YOU GET HERE SO FAST?? And where is the human Mrs. Toriel talked about?" I glanced to the lamp, I saw her peeking towards me, I stretched to make it less suspicious and winked to her. Her face flushed and she pulled back to be behind the lamp. I chuckled lightly.

"I dunno pap, maybe this lamp can help you?"

"SAAANS! THIS BETTER NOT LEAD TO ANY PUNS!"

"oh but bro, i can't help it the puns come so naturally." Papyrus sighed.

"Please No..."

"what was that? yes you want my puns?"

"OH NO!"

"i heard that pretty crystal clear!" Papyrus was silent a second. Thought I had heard a slight snicker come from the lamp

"I don't get it..." I smirked

"the lamp does."

"What?" After a second there was a small snort of laughter from behind the lamp. Papyrus sweatdropped, "I swear sans... I don't know how, but you do the weirdest things for entertainment..." I grinned widely.

"yup!" He sighed

"I'm heading home, you should too."

"right behind you." And with that Papyrus ran off, leaving me with the lamp "so you like puns and jokes?" I asked, what would seem to a normal passerby, the empty space around me. Crystal peeked from behind the lamp with her face lit up in laughter.

"Yes!"

"well, wanna play a prank with me?"
