She woke up and silently sat up, she blinked looking around catching my eyes and smiling a little bit
"G'morning!" She cheered quietly and and yawned stretching out her arms.
"mornin'" I said turning my head to face her, she stood slowly and came over to me and wrapped her arms around me, causing me to freeze. "uh... k-kiddo?" I stuttered out, my face growing more blue, she opened an eye and let me go
"Ah ha, I'm sorry! I forgot this is a new timeline..." She tilted her head and fell back on my bed. "Shame." She muttered to herself, but I still heard her. I eyed her cautiously, there were other timelines with her? And she remembered, while I didn't?
"I'm sorry Sans." She said quietly, closing her eyes as she smiled, like Frisk always did. I looked away and sighed
"you hungry?" She thought a second
"I could eat..." I nodded and headed to the door
"stay here, okay?" She bobbed her head and leaned against my bedroom wall while sitting on the mattress. I let and went down to the kitchen and opened up the fridge sighing at the amount of food we had in, a few crinkled up bags of potato chips, two boxes of rather old food left forgotten from Grillby's as well as numerous plates of spaghetti. All of the plates within the fridge had something holding it back from being decent , like mold, or the fact there were a few that were charred and black, and the one that was in a frozen ice block. I sighed and closed the door to the fridge before I made my way out seeing the other two people sitting on the couch watching TV mindlessly.
"i'm heading out." I stated, earning a 'myeh have fun.' I chuckled and stepped out into the snow, hearing it crunch under my slippers, I began to trudge through it all to the warm and inviting building, Grillby's. I opened the door feeling the heat from inside on my face, the grin on my face widening. I went to the counter and sat there leaning on the counter, "hey grillbs." I said, he didn't say anything as usual and just gave me the usual slightly warmed ketchup bottle. I thanked him and quick chugged it down, he just nodded and went back to drying the probably already dry dishes, its a weird thing he does. "so could i get an extra order of a burg to go?" Grillby looked up to me, his head tilting to the side, I chuckled lightly, "it's for a friend." His nod was slow and hesitant, like he still wasn't sure but still he went to the back leaving me to talk to the other monsters at the bar.
"Hey Sans, anything new happening to ya?"
"nah, same old. heh."
"Ya dancing again?" my grip on the bottle tightened and i felt a faint glow in my left eye, I covered it with a fake chuckle
"well, i haven't gotten around to it . you know how lazy i can be, i'm... lazy, to the bone" I heard him try and stifle some laughter, but gradually he was chuckling beside me.
"At least I know it's still you Sans. Even though you seem to have given up." My pupils glazed away to the floor scanning the wood panels.
"yeah... couldn't bear to loose me could you?" I said a little more lowly, there was a quiet murmur now around us, usually I would always mask my true feelings from the place but today they were shining through brightly, and I hate it. I waved my hand trying to shoo off their suspicions, I just sighed and turned around telling them all a quick joke, everyone was chuckling, except Grillby behind me who had heard everything. He silently handed me my food and I thanked him telling him to add it to my tab.
When i had gotten back home, I froze once the door was open. Toriel was no where to be found, and there was Papyrus holding a broom up chasing around Crystal. They both had froze once they saw I was home. Papyrus just opened his mouth to speak but I just walked past them to the kitchen,
"hey kiddo, i got you some food!" I called, and there were two gasps, and a sudden scrambling to the kitchen. First pap fell in with Crystal trying to pass him, without stepping on him. I held the bag out to her as she quickly took it and almost tearing it open she pulled out the little box with the burger in it and went to the table setting it down.
"Thank you!" she beamed, I nodded and looked down to my brother, he just stared up in confusion,
"Sans?! What is the meaning of this!?!?" He shrieked, making Crystal jump, I smiled
"she's a friend of mine." Pap narrowed his eyes
"A friend?" he asked, I nodded and she turned her head to look over she had a bite of burger in her mouth, but still she nodded. Papyrus hopped up "HUMAN WILL YOU BE MY FRIEND TOO???" he cried, she smiled and nodded again finishing the food
"I'd love to!" she smiled. His face lit up and he crushed her into a hug,
"BUT! Human... What were you doing in Sans' room?" he asked and she shrugged, I turned to Pap
"i thought we both agreed, you aren't to go in my room." I said placing two bony fingers to my forehead, "because you would want to clean it." He chuckled nervously.
"Well..." he began "I heard a thud from your room and I was afraid there was another being in there probably choking to death on your dirty air. Crystal laughed and i joined her
"it's not that bad in there pap's i've actually cleaned in there before,"
"Before." Crystal echoed. Pap waved me off, and he continued on
"But once I had gotten in there, I saw the human and, I panicked since you said this human was going to be bad." Crystal looked over to me confused, I sighed and waved her off "Then I had gotten the broom and began to chase her around,"
"fair enough."
