"Sans?" Papyrus loomed over my face, I cracked open an eye socket. His eyes were knit with worry

"Morning Pap."I groaned sitting up. I looked around, I was in my bed. I looked past him scanning my room, seeing that Crystal wasn't there. "Where is Crystal?" I asked confused, as I figured she'd be in here as well.

"Crystal?" He echoed, looking even more confused. I chuckled, almost worried

"Yeah, the human?" His teeth parted to speak but, he didn't say anything. He only looked up to me worriedly "Pap?" I asked, my tone growing worried as he was so quiet. "Papyrus?"I asked more sternly, he just chucked nervously next to me, turning back to me.

"Well, Sans..." He began, rubbing his gloved hands together. "I don't know who your asking about.... There hasn't been any humans to fall. Not since that one a long time ago and Undyne got their soul!" My eyes widened, I whipped the covers back and sat on the edge of the bed.

"Wait..." I hopped up and ran out to the hallway, and ran out to the edge of the stairs, Papyrus was running after me worried. "Where's a mirror?!" I asked almost franticly, looking back to him. He jumped back, surprised by my outburst. He pointed to a small one hanging on the wall by the couch. I ran to it and hopped up to see the top of my skull.

...
No cracks...?

I fell back and stared at it a second. Shocked. Was it all a dream?

"Pap...?" I said lowly, he was beside me, trying to help me up. "How long was I asleep?" I practically whispered to him. He sighed, closing his eyes, I looked to him,

"About a month..." He basically cried, pulling me into a hug. All I could do was stare forward.

"....So there was no human?" Papyrus shook his head "the dance competition didn't happen?"

"It did... You were still asleep though..."

"Did you win?" I asked, smiling weakly up to my brother, he shook his head

"I didn't enter." A pit of mixed emotions formed in my non-existent-stomach. Tears were now forming in my eyes and all I could do was sit there. Papyrus seemed to panic, and pulled me into a hug. "I'm sorry brother!!" He cried beside me, tears forming in his eyes.

"So then... How much of it was a dream...?" I asked quietly, I wriggled out of Papyrus' grasp and teleported into my room. He seemed panicked at my action as he was still at the stairs looking around franticly. Slipping off my shirt, I pulled open my drawer and took a white t-shirt putting it on then some black jogger pants. I sighed pulling out my blue hoodie. I looked at it, silently for a while. I heard papyrus thunder up the stairs towards me as I slowly looked back to him in the doorway, I was going to say something, but I didn't know what to say, or do for that matter. So I turned away a bit and teleported outside of Grillby's. I glanced to my feet, seeing nothing. I only let heave another large sigh, and pushed open the door pulling over my sweatshirt. There was a loud gasp within the facility before it fell entirely silent.

I didn't make any attempt to talk, neither did the members around me. Only when I got to the bar and sat in my usual spot did everyone avert their eyes. I knew that they were still being quieter to hear what id say, or to hear if I'd changed.

"Just... A ketchup Grillby, please..."I said, almost weakly. He gave a confused look, but it quickly melted to a saddened one. He slowly handed a bottle of ketchup to me, and I only took it and gave it a small sip. Not up for the rest of it. I knew everyone, including Grillby wanted to know. What was wrong. What happened. Why I was gone so long. But no one was going to asked, Grillby was the silent bartender, he'd never ask. So in practical silence the whole bar sat, unsure of what to say or think, I was back yes.

But was I really back?
