My vision grazed the groud as well, and she was once again crying, constantly rubbing her eyes to try to cover the fact she was really was crying. I pat her head gently and looked out towards where the house was, I saw Pap running out, and heading towards us. He ran past us rather quickly, but skitted to a halt, running back and leaning down to me.
"Sans?" he asked wearily, I nodded a sheepish smile on my face. "OH BROTHER I'M SORRY FOR QUESTIONING YOU, WELCOME BACK!!!" I was then pulled into a bone-crushing hug. Frisk had wiped her tears an stood smiling, laughing with us as if nothing was even wrong. "WHERE DO YOU GO WHEN YOU DISAPPEAR?" He asked, I stared up at him a second.
"It's not important, but it's good to be back" I winked and stuffed my hands in my pockets "so uh, Paps, do you know where-"
"AH YES CRYSTAL!!" He shouted happily, Frisk's small smile got smaller, but she kept up her facade. "IN HOTLAND!" My eyes furrowed together
"Hotland? Why?" Papyrus only chuckled, a smirk on his face. I stared at him confused and lost a second. "Uh, paps?" I asked wearily.
"YOU SHOULD JUST GO TO HOTLAND!!!" He winked, making me even more confused and probably scared. I shrugged and turned away from the two and teleported into hotland. I was in front of Alphys' lab, I drug my tennis shoes on the dusty ground below and when I got to the lab I used my old card key to go in.
"Yo! Alphys! You in here?" I called, there was a squeak and a few things falling over before she came running out all flustered. I waved, my eyes knit together "ya okay?"
"A-anime marathon with U-Undyne!" She said, looking back to see Undyne staring in silence. I waved, and she rose a hand back.
"Is Crystal here to?" I asked, Alphys frowned
"U-um no... Why w-would she...?" I frowned, and turned towards the door again. Alphys quickly panicked "I-I'm sorry S-Sans!!" She cried after me. I shrugged
"It's fine Alph." I forced up yet another smile "see ya." I left the place and groaned, turning to the right father into hotland hoping I'd see her. I stopped only a few times, by my stand was one of them. I peeked in and looked around to see if anything had changed. A small note caught my eye
'Sans, are you eating enough? Sleeping enough? When you disappear it makes us worry. Please take care of yourself. Someone out there cares.'
I stared at the note for a little while, just silent. Eating enough, oh definitely not. Sleeping enough, probably? Being her means I'm sleeping. I make them worry...
I rubbed my arm and glanced at the ground. Maybe there was a way to stay here forever. I chuckled, but my thoughts wondered, maybe not to the best of places. I took the note and left a little something after it before I jogged off to find Crystal.
'No need to worry, I'm fine, sleepin' just fine if ya get what I mean ;) '
I made it deeper into hotland, yet no where I could find Crystal, I groaned and rubbed my skull "where the hell are you? MTT?" I hoped not, but mentally prepared myself for it to actually be. I trudged on, finally making it to the building. I pushed the doors open to feel the colder rush on me.
It was dimmer than usual.
No one was there? Wait, there were two people.
It was her. And Mettaton.
I stepped in and they both saw me, Crystals face lit up and she came running to me, crashing into me with a big hug.
"You two are so cute together~" Mettaton teased. I hadn't been able to say anything, as I was speechless. Speechless to what Mettaton had done to Crystal.
She had some simple and appealing make-up, a dark eye shadow with blue and silver. Her dress was simple, right above her knees, pastel blue almost seemed white in the darker light. Her hair was done up into a fancy bun-flower thing. She looked beautiful.
"Sans? You're being really quiet, you okay?" She asked quietly. My face lit up bright blue, I did the only thing I could think of, leaning forward and kissing her. She immediately flushed a shade of red. My hands latching to her sides, and of course the moment was ruined by the one and only star. Mettaton began hooting and hollering at us, only making us more embarrassed as I pulled away, leaving my hands where they were. Mettaton was a giggling mess,
"You know Sans. Your girlfriend is very stubborn." He pouted sticking out his bottom lip "I got her all prettied up, and she wouldn't even dance with me." I chuckled, as she just buried her face in her hands.
"Well, I can show you how well we dance together." I leaned down to where our faces were so close, yet so far and whispered to her "if that's okay, beautiful." She blushed even more, but nodded, a smile spreading across her lips.
"Then let's dance!"
