Gabriel’s POV
We are currently outside of Serena’s house because she wants me to persuade her dad to let her go away with me and I know for a fact that it’s going to be a challenge but I’m up for it,
“Are you sure you want to do this, my dad is a very hard person to get through to”
“Don’t worry about it, I’ll definitely be able to get through to him”
“Yeah but it’s different when you’re trying to persuade him to let us be together, this is us going to Spain, it’s a whole different thing”
“Yeah I know, don’t worry baby, trust me on this”
She smiled at me and we both got out of the car. We joined hands and we walked up to Serena’s door. I knocked 3 times and came face to face with her dad,
“Why are you here?”
“I need to talk to you”
“About?”
“Can we just go inside please?”
I could tell that he was deciding whether or not he wanted to let me in but after a while, he made room for me to walk into the house. I walked into the living room and took a seat with Serena sitting down next to me,
“So, what is it that you wanted?”
“You may not believe it but I love your daughter very much and even though we’ve been through a lot I think she deserves a break so I am asking your permission for me and your daughter to take a trip to Spain for a week”
“Not gonna happen”
“And why is that?”
“Because it’s with you”
“Can you explain to me why you hate me so much? And do not talk shit about how I tried to rape Serena because you and I both know that I didn’t”
“You’re not right for her, it’s obvious that you’re one of those guys that will use a girl and then leave her at a blink of an eye and I do not want my daughter around anyone like that”
“I’m not going to lie to you and say that I wasn’t like that because I was but I’m not anymore and that’s only because of your daughter. You may not believe me when I say that I love her but I do and you or anyone else isn’t going to change that, ever. I’m being respectful right now by asking you if I can take her on a trip so I’m going to ask you again, would it be possible if I take your daughter to Spain for a week?”
He looked at Serena “Is there anything you want to say?”
“Not really, only that if you love me, you’ll let me go with him”
He sighed and looked back at me “Fine, you can go but only for a week, no longer, understand?”
I nodded “Definitely, thank you”
Serena got up and went to hug him “Thank you daddy and can you at least try and get to know Gabriel? For me?”
He nodded “Only because you asked me to”
“And because I wasn’t giving you another option”
He laughed “Yeah, that too”
“I love you daddy”
