Gabriel’s POV

I woke up feeling empty, so empty, like something was missing and that something was obviously Serena, I missed her like crazy. I grabbed my phone from the bedside table and decided to send her a text,

To: Serena

From: Gabriel

Good morning baby, I miss you :( x Call me when you get this so I can hear your beautiful voice ;) Love you xx

I got a text back immediately but it was not something I wanted to read at all,

To: Gabriel

From: Serena

I miss you too but we need to talk, I done something bad and I need to tell you about it, I’m just afraid that it will ruin our relationship, just, come to my house in 30 minutes and we’ll talk x

I read over it again and again making sure that what I was reading was actually real. I quickly got out of bed and done my morning routine quicker than ever and I didn’t even say good morning to my mum and sister, I just got in the car, I didn’t have time to say good morning. I drove at at least 70mph which was 20 miles over the speed limit but I really didn’t care.

I got to Serena’s house in under 10 minutes. I jumped out of the car and went to knock on her door and when she opened the door she was crying, full on crying like literally, crying her eyes out for hours crying. I walked up to her to hug her but she moved back,

“Baby what’s wrong?”

“I…” She didn’t finish her sentence she just gestured towards the living room so I walked in there and sat down on the sofa, she sat down on the chair opposite me but I so badly wanted to go over to her and comfort her but I knew to stay put,

“What’s wrong Serena?”

She tried to compose herself before speaking “Last night, when you left, Reese was in my house and he just said he wanted to talk so we did and he was really nice but then… it just… it progressed”

“It what?”

“It progressed, he kissed me again and I couldn’t stop, I don’t know why! I wanted to stop so badly but I couldn’t”

“How far did it progress?”

“I uhhh… we nearly…”

She didn’t have to finish her sentence to know what she was trying to say and sure I felt angry, I felt very angry but I felt more betrayed than anything, played even,

“Why? Why would you do that?”

“It didn’t get that far though”

“It doesn’t fucking matter! You were close to it; you know what? Right now I can’t even look at you”

I got up from the sofa and was about to walk out but I felt her grab my wrist,

“Gabriel please!”

I turned around to face her and to took a step back, probably because of my expression right now,

“Please what? Don’t bother saying sorry to me Serena, you can’t love me, you probably never have”

“I do love you Gabriel”

“You can’t! You can’t love me because if you did you wouldn’t have done that and you’re chatting bullshit about how you couldn’t stop kissing him, if you wanted to stop you would have”
